I prefer something more up to date so I would know what is being meant at the time some of these words are being read out.

"But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved – even though only as one escaping through the flames." (1 Corinthians 3:10-15 NIV)

"...for our ‘God is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12:29 NIV)

God didn't allow any witnesses to the fire that destroyed Sodom, the fore that destroys Satan's Babylon will have witness that are as far away as the nearest mountain range. The fire that sends Satan and all remaining fallen angels to the fiery lake is viewed by people who are inside the flame. The rest of time is with God without fire being a factor.

Isa:51:6:
Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
and look upon the earth beneath:
for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke,
and the earth shall wax old like a garment,
and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner:
but my salvation shall be for ever,
and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

I give you OT and you request NT, MHz. I give you NT and you respond with OT.

We all have our blind spots, LL. We inherited them from Adam through our ancestors. There is a remedy : )
you mean our fallen nature. I see

The bible said that Cain left his home and went to the land of Nod and there he knew his wife. What if some of us are related to the people that Cains wife came from? Do we also have that sin nature inherited from Adam?

We are speaking of a spiritual inheritance, LL.

I don't take the Old testament literally Motar.

If I did I'd be disappointed on the non answer about the Cain descendants.

Or to quote the Great actor Spencer Tracy in the movie classic, " Inherit The Wind " when Tracy asks the great actor Fredric March where Cain met his wife and goes on to ask if there was a creation in the next county,,,,. That really is a great movie classic with great performances Motar you really should catch that one when you have time.

Some Bible literature is historical and meant for literal interpretation, LL. Some Bible language however is symbolic:

"For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." (1Corinthians 15:22)

"Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham." (Galatians 3:7)

So are all those posting Bible and quran quotes ad nauseum..........

The two witnesses in the OP "tormented those who live on the earth" by prophesying, DS. That is why the Word is depicted as a double-edged sword in Scripture. To some, the Word is life, while others experience torment.

Tell me you are not wasting your time and everyone else....
How many have you personally converted .....on line? huh?

I am here to grow in Christ, Friend. Conversion is the exclusive domain of Another.

Based upon what your belief is Motar I will agree. If one does follow what the man said they will remember that ",, no one comes to the father unless the spirit calls them". So I do agree with you based upon what you believe. ").

As I am not Christian the verses you quoted probably would not apply to me. As far as the new testament go I prefer the words the are attributed to Jesus even though we know he did not write anything. To quote another ,,,for me,,,doesn't mean much to be honest.

I guess I'm at the point where I ask this question, What makes us believe that we need to take matters into our own hands? Why do we think we need to convert or change others from what and who they are ? If you have faith in someone greater than yourself, why not leave things in that someones hands?

I don't have an easy answer for you, LL. I have no capacity to convert or change others.

When Christ says 'It is finished.' when He pours out the 7th vial (Re:16) that is the completion of the two bruises in Ge:3:15.

The midpoint of seven is 3.5 one bruise is on the heel the other on the head, each of seven levels of perfection the connection between the succeeding is the aboves heel touches the one below on the head, each level is supported on the other, resurection and the number seven
