House joins Senate in passing measure to end U.S. military involvement in Yemen, a move with major political implications for Trump

The Saudi-led bombing campaign in Yemen is blamed for worsening an already dire humanitarian crisis there. President Trump is expected to veto the legislation, but its passage in both chambers of Congress represents a sharp rebuke of the president's continued embrace of Saudi Arabia's crown prince.

Oh, the Saudis are Trump's friends. Forget that little Saudi thing where they crashed airliners full of terrified innocents into skyscrapers full of terrified innocents. No Trump properties were damaged, therefore the Saudis are our friends!

Canada, on the other hand, is a threat to America's security and therefore should be PUNISHED with tarifs.

Maybe, if WE committed mass murder in the United States somewhere, Trump and his followers would respect us, too.

Trump values money and business deals ........ more than he values humans. His attitude is clear each time he opens his mouth and indicates his alliances. .......even shootings don't bother him. The wealthy NRA is a pal.......... and that matters to him. Plus they make noises that they support him.

Ethics and standards of a nation or person don't matter to him.......as long as it or they flatter him or transact with him ......favoring, flattering him. He also admires the ruthless nature of dictators........ and tries to emulate them in his conduct and words...as far as he can in a semi democratic society. but only comes off looking boorish, loutish, and simplistic .

He is dangerous.....and easily provoked........ therefore..... batons that have to deal with him.....are playing it "cool".......and non provocative...........as they know he is erratic and would blow up over the slightest personal insult. He is a ungenerous power junkie. Trump won't be POTUS forever........ unless the US goes totally nutsky and allows that kind of system. Trudeau is not a threat to Donald. ........and seems smart enough to know that provoking him in the slightest is chunter productive. (and Justin has enough to cope with at home at the moment. )

Oh.....and I don't think respect from Trump is something desirable. It is well known ....he only respects money, and authoritarianism. He has no appreciation of what the founding fathers went though to establish the constitution.......and the beginnings of a new nation that was to be an example of democracy. He is a slap in the face to both.

if you are being respected by Trump you are obviously doing something wrong.

Alabama Law Would Punish Women Who Have Abortions With 99 Years In Prison

In an attack on a woman’s right to choose, Alabama lawmakers plan to end all abortion in the state and severely punish any woman who has an abortion with up to 99 years in prison.

Alabama lawmakers introduced legislation Tuesday that would make performing an abortion at any stage of pregnancy a felony unless the mother’s health is in jeopardy.

The Alabama bill, HB314… would ban all abortions, even those using prescription drugs, as soon as a woman is “known to be pregnant.” It does allow for ending a pregnancy when the fetus has a “lethal anomaly” or to avoid a “serious health risk” to the mother, but there are no exceptions for rape and incest. Any attempt to end a healthy pregnancy would be a felony.
