What is that now your line when you don't have anything intelligent to reply and your ass is handed to you..

Don't be so Silly Cannuck.. go renovate a kitchen or something useful

I'm sure pedophile Roy Moore will appreciate the CC support

Walter of all people, talk about a religious hypocrite.. he will support a Republican pedophile, as long as the guy backs his religious views.. no better than a ISIS member..

Walter's on the prowl again.

Biggest religious hypocrite, like most Republicans.. great example, Senator Larry Craig anti-abortionist, anti-Gay.. then caught in a Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport bathroom stall trying to get a blow job in the mens room.

Explains Walter to a tee

Is it in keeping with your Christian beliefs to be a liar?

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person with lascivious intent to entice, allure, persuade, or invite, or attempt to entice, allure, persuade, or invite, any child under 16 years of age to enter any vehicle, room, house, office, or other place for the purpose of proposing to such child the performance of an act of sexual intercourse or an act which constitutes the offense of sodomy or for the purpose of proposing the fondling or feeling of the sexual or genital parts of such child or the breast of such child, or for the purpose of committing an aggravated assault on such child, or for the purpose of proposing that such child fondle or feel the sexual or genital parts of such person.

(b) A violation of this section is a Class C felony.

Alabama Code 13A-6-69.

And in case you're wondering, a Class C felony is one to ten inside.

I believe all of this falls within the Statutes of Limitations for both criminal and civil prosecution. On top of which there has to be independent verification of crimes for wich the only evidence is 'she said/he said'. And despite what CNN and the Washington Post tells you, crimes have to be proved. Otherwise the supposed perpertrator is presumed innocent.

Which doesn't make it a misdemeanor, which is what you said.

And no, I won't let you divert from that, no matter how frantically you run around with those goalposts on your shoulders.

On top of which there has to be independent verification of crimes for wich the only evidence is 'she said/he said'.
You think so, huh? First off, there is other evidence (which I suppose is what you mean by "independent verification." Second, Alabama has a long history of convicting men for sex crimes based on nothing but the word of the alleged victim.

Granted, the vast majority of those men were black, but the precedent is there.

And despite what CNN and the Washington Post tells you, crimes have to be proved. Otherwise the supposed perpertrator is presumed innocent.
And despite your desperate attempts to conflate a Senate election with a criminal trial, it ain't gonna wash. Nobody, but nobody, is talking about criminally prosecuting Roy Moore. They are talking about whether he is fit to be a senator.

But keep hurling those red herrings. It could work. The electorate of Alabama ain't real bright.

This election in Alabama seems more like a referendum on Republican morality than a vote between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats shouldn't stand a chance. The traditional family values Republicans like to tout includes old men molesting young girls. It's never explicitly stated, but it has always been a part of the ideology.

When we think of morality in common discourse, we immediately assume common ground that pedophilia is a universal wrong. But Republicans don't have a problem with Roy Moore being a pedophile because an old man molesting a young girl is part of their traditional family values. In the traditional moral view women are the sexual property of men.

Also, before Cannuck loses his shit about me using the word pedophilia, let me tell you that I don't care. I've always found how some people insist on delineating between common usage of the word and a supposed prescriptive definition a bit pervy. It's kind of a weird hill to die on, isn't it?

I mean you said "no it's not" but you're kinda proving my point.

The thing is that hating gay people and wanting a Christo-fascist state is not an aberration of the Republican ideology. But in common discourse pedophilia is condemned. Being a Christo-fascist shouldn't sink Roy Moore's chances in Alabama. But being a pedophile should cost him the election. If it doesn't Alabama Republicans have voted in favour of pedophilia.

I'm actually kind of amazed that none of our right-wingers has mentioned yet that Loretta Lynn was married at 13.

(She was 15, but let's not let little things like facts get in the way.)
