Trump's approval rating hits lowest ever on the heels of Alabama disaster

Just 32 per cent say they approve of the job Trump is doing as president, with 56 per cent saying they disapprove, according to a new Monmouth University poll taken between Sunday and Tuesday.

That is the lowest approval percentage Trump has seen since taking office in January, with prior polls showing between 39 and 43 per cent of respondents approving of him.

'This result is not good for the president, especially coming off the loss of his endorsed candidate in the Alabama Senate race,' said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute.

'Donald Trump has not been making many moves designed to build confidence with the American public,' said Murray.

Congress' approval rating was also the lowest so far this year, clocking in at a meager 16 per cent.

Amazing isn’t it.

This is with a good economy.

Unprecedented actually. Approval ratings usually mirror the economy. It points directly to the opposition to the social conservative agenda. As Alabama just proved, Trumpism just isn't going to sell

( funny YOU posted it!)

That was not a referendum on Trump, it was a referendum on how crooked the democrats, and trump hating republicans, and the lying press cost the tax payer in the end...what 35 million dollars?
AND THE ALABAMANS WANT THE GUY TO ACT LIKE A REPUBLICAN!!!!

One of the staunchest Republican areas in the US just voted Democrat. People aren't buying what you're selling. Get used to rejection. It's going to be epic.

32% approval seems bad, but does it matter?

Congress' approval rating was also the lowest so far this year, clocking in at a meager 16 per cent.

Does this mean voters will throw out most of congress next year? Congress always has the worst approval ratings, but being an incumbent is the biggest advantage in any election.

Seems like these people are just fools. They don't know what they want or they vote against their own interests or if they do know what they want they still don't vote for it.

These are ebbs and flows of political life. The death of the nationalist and populist economics, and Christian morality is much exagerated. And the polls have been consistently wrong on these issues since the start of the voter rebellion against the Free Market, death infused paradigm of the last 50 years.

Polls are only accurate in steady state political climates and what we have now in anything but. I expect to the extent that the Repubs can shuck off the NeoCon Establishment imposters of conservatism they'll get back on track. Bannon and Trump need to adjust their methods, not their values.
