About $ 21.00 per hour if you use most union labor agreements . But that is an hourly wage for labor .
If you bring a big rig with all it's expenses , 21 per doesn't quite look so good .

Dude that's not owner operator, I had 3 trucks in the USA.. Since I've decided to remain in Canada I sold them all..

Each truck earned $3600 to $4000 a week depending if there was any Hazmat loads ... back up to a Hazmat and its $100 just to connect to the trailer, sometimes you get 6 to 10 a week per truck.

So in short about $10,000 USD a week.. Fuel charge cut fuel costs.. huge discounts if the company has 100 trucks or more using in my case Loves Truckstop ..

Maintenance wasn't much, it's not like you blow a tire each week..

Happy to be out of it.. really I just like driving I'd do it for free..

On my weekends my wife and I always go someplace in Alberta or BC for a drive.

Last week.. Hiway #3 (anyone guess where this is)

Dude, WTF do you not understand $25/hr is just a company driver... right now I'm on the dock and workers are unloading the truck.. I'll be chill'in for 2hrs and getting paid.. I stand around and do nothing while they unload.. That's called No Touch Freight..

Well I get to play on my iPhone..

I guess it's more like semi-retired to keep the benifits dental, drugs, eye.. ETC

If Trump continues to make such coherent, targeted and forceful speeches as this he'll win the Presidency.

I compared it Hillary's speech given later in the day which was filled with Free Market buzz phrases.. of 'competing' in the Global economy.. and making industry more 'productive'. All of a sudden she's against the TPP after she championed Free Trade deals and the WTO throughout her days as Secretary of State and Senator.

She reminds of that lying crudball Jean Chretien and his promises to renegotiate NAFTA (to which he subsequently made a few meangless, cosmetic changes) when she sais the TPP is not up to her standards. She disingenuously states that the New Industries in technology and clean energy will make up for the collapse of American industrial integrity.

She really cares no more for industrial and mechanical workers than she does for the miners of West Virginia whom she has labelled as environmental criminals and disposable waste. She is completely committed to the billionaire hedgefund owners who are funding her campaign and making her rich.

It's all the same old bs. The only way an American worker is going to be competitive with someone working in Maquilladora Slave Labour Zone is to be payed $1 an hour and to scrap their unions, security, benefits, pensions. The high tech industries at any time in any economy is likely to employ 20% of the labour force in skilled, high payed professions.. everyone else can forget about a living wage and a dignified and secure workplace. It's a mugs game because with American payrolls in free fall nobody will be able to afford even this radically discounted product.

Hillary is a world class LIAR. She's in cahoots with Wall Street and the Trading and Financial cartels who control the World Economy by way of these supranational organizations.. the WTO, World Bank, IMF, the European Bank and on. When Trump sais it would be better for America to print money than print bonds.. which essentially is the same thing.. he is completely CORRECT, except the bonds incur a penalty of compounded interest. But the bonds are not unrelated to Free Trade. The gargantuan Trade Deficit has produced a Sea of U.S. greenbacks held world wide that must be continually soaked up by an ever growing outstanding U.S. debt (in bonds) to keep them from flooding and washing away the world financial structure. It's a pyramid scheme that will fall apart sooner or later. This is an utterly unsustainable AND Trump, as he stated in his speech, offers the LAST hope to avoid catastrophe.

Canada made a mistake when we elected that lying little fart Chretien during the NAFTA debate, that treasonous shill and lap dog for the Global oligarchs in Stephen Harper, and that pothead and dimwit in Justin Trudeau. I hope the American voter has the sense to kick Hillary and her lousy cabal into retirement. The alternative is global chaos.. which always produces war.

i'm in favour of true Democracy, not a Wall Street Hedge Fund Kleptocracy with Hillary Clinton as a puppet president.

I'm in favour of a prosperous U.S. and Canada as sovereign nation states bound by industrial integrity and an equitable sharing of wealth.. not an industrial wasteland inhabited by a massive, desperate and unemployable underclass, solely to support a grotesquely rich and abjectly corrupt (and ever diminishing) financial overclass.

I don't want the rest of the U.S or Canada to look like Detroit. That's inevitable under the current paradigm
