The only reason it will upset the global economy is because jobs will go back to America and level the playing field and get US back to a trade surplus from a trade deficit which is in the billions of dollar. Trump is for fair trade

I wouldn't bank on the international market going for American products in any real volume. They will be ahead by eliminating the imports they current buy and replace that with American products.
Scary for everybody else but Americans, who I think will be benefiting on many front with Trump at the wheel. I do believe him when he says that when he tells manufacturing CEO's that 'if' they move their businesses to India, Mexico or China, then they can sell it over there because Americans will no longer be interested. They know he means business, 'his people' actually listen to him. That's why so many people are upset and scared. For man, it's the image of America, but for most, money talks louder. Nothing can stop this man now.

What is Canada's risk? Ours could be dark; Human Traffickers, Drug Cartel, low life, lot's and lot's of new and old US immigrant... could be looking North. I don't believe that the majority (apparently according to twitter) will be rich Americans looking to buy islands in New Brunswick.

What makes me wonder is the large segment of the American population who are throwing their support behind the billionaire Trump because they are fed up with being ruled by Wall Street elites. bbbut .. , pardon?
Trump won't be that bad for America. He'll just stunt any progress just as Rob Ford did for Toronto.
He'll more than stump progress. He's probably planning sky-high tariffs on Mexican products to build his wall. That will push the price of US imports up significantly. Ditto China and every other country. And when they reciprocate on the tariffs, US foreign trade will grind to a standstill. Trump won't need to build a wall then since all the unemployed illegal migrants will go back home of their own free will to look for work.
