Apparently, all the polls show that if Trump runs in 2024, he'll win which is why the Dems are so concerned and why they want to ensure he doesn't run again.
I still think that he should not run (too distracting) but be behind the scenes because his policies are exactly what the U.S. (and Canada) need. What is needed is another "outsider" who isn't afraid of the Swamp and will do what is necessary to get the U.S. back on track; someone who has no obligation to the Swamp in D.C.; someone who has the intestinal fortitude (i.e. guts) to fight for Americans! Wishful thinking, I know LOL
In case there was any doubt the GOP is still the Party of Trump, this should clear things up.

Good question. The only precedent is Grover Cleveland, who served two terms, 1885-1889 and 1893-1897, with Benjamin Harrison between.
Cleveland is called the 22d and 24t president, so Trump, if elected in 2024, would presumably be the 45t and 47t.
I can agree with you go back to the 45th then straight to 47th and eliminate the 46th in the history books
