With Canadian PMs I don't think it's love so much as just trying to keep Quebec in the country, so long as there seems a threat they would try to leave. It would probably be silly of them to do that but that wouldn't stop them - look at brexit. Meantime some Albertans are airing the same threat, but it's not clear to me how leaving the federation would help them get a pipeline through BC. Doesn't make sense in any case - look at brexit
Negotiating exit from a federation including 3 official nationalities/races could take a few days! - especially when you're a landlocked territory already having trouble with export of your current major product.

Support for the Separatist Movement in Quebec is at an all time low. The PQ were relegated to 4th party status in the Quebec legislature back in March after yet another MP left to sit as an independent leaving the party with but 9 seats.
"A full 82 per cent of Quebec respondents to a survey conducted by the Angus Reid Institute in partnership with CBC agreed with the statement, "Ultimately, Quebec should stay in Canada."

So that argument doesn't wash.
This goes to the heart of the history of corruption and bribery that has tainted Quebec politicians and companies for decades. It is simply a way of life that has been perpetuated and exploited for generations. It should come as no surprise to anyone who follows politics that the little potato would be of similar persuasion.
There are many times that I sorely wish we here in the Heartland of BC could separate from the Left Coast so I have some sympathy for Albertans who share that viewpoint.
When it comes to provincial relationships these days - the message is not 'nobody loves me' rather it is 'Just Watch Us' as one Conservative government after another join forces speaking with a much more powerful voice than those left in the wilderness. The current person sitting at the head of the BC government is a prime example of the latter.

It stinks as you moan about a difficult couple of weeks because of “internal disagreements.” It stinks as you reference your success in making it easier to die, and your success in making it easier to get high. It stinks as you talk about your job being to stand up for jobs and pensions, to stand up for Canadians, and for Canadian workers, and all in an overly dramatic tone that suggests that no other prime minister has ever had that in their job description. It stinks as you speak about anything other than what Canadians need to hear from you.
And you say all of this nothing in front of a carefully crafted human backdrop meant to demonstrate your love of youth and diversity. Except the youth look like they’re in a hostage video (they are). Your human backdrop even includes your new MP, Rachel Bendayan, who is standing over your shoulder tonight playing the role of Huma Abedin while you step all over your wiener.
There isn’t a hint of contrition, or even a speck of responsibility for letting things get this far. No acknowledgment that Wilson-Raybould has laid out a set of serious charges that require serious answers. Your focus remains political.
When you’re asked about Andrew Scheer’s call for your resignation over the seriousness of these allegations, you mumble something about Stephen Harper being a bad man and this coming election being about a choice, blithely assuming you’ll still be in function to see it out. And when you’re asked about Wilson-Raybould remaining in the Liberal caucus, you say you will have to review her full testimony—testimony you have already dismissed, by the way—before deciding her fate, when it really should be the other way around.
You tell Canadians—in that sanctimonious and overly serious tone you adopt when you’re under the cosh—who have watched Wilson-Raybould rattle their confidence in Canada’s institutions to now have confidence in the ethics commissioner, an office that has already found you guilty of breaking another law, but isn’t equipped to investigate the allegations unfurled by Wilson-Raybould. And while you’re busy doing that, you have your office tell media that nobody else will be resigning based on Wilson-Raybould’s testimony.
In other words, every move you make tonight makes you look like the un-smart, un-serious man that so many of your political opponents have always insisted you are.
But you can’t let that worry you.
Your only bet now is that you being you will be enough to see you through. If there is enough talk about evil Tories, or lost jobs, or Liberal values, then Canadians might just go back to sleep and wake up thinking you’re that wonderful man who promised to change everything in 2015.

I do not get you folks.
Hoid is actually so stupid he believes mainstream Christian churches want gays put to death.
My family was fundamentalist backwoods Baptist, about as Christian as they can be.
My brother is gay.
He was fully accepted by my family (as was a gay cousin) and never suffered a moment of disrespect over his sexuality.
He is now an instructor at a small seminary (PhD in Divinity, counseling) and has spent decades working with established churches on the humane inclusion of openly gay people into the church.
He does believe that homosexual acts are sin, and is now celibate.
But the true Christian belief is "Hate the sin, love the sinner"

I googled "beheading" and 7/10 results displayed on that page mention Islam in the title. There's 11,200,000 results but I only looked at the first page. Is Google a white natty? Just a coincidence?
The only beheading I remember in Canada was on bus and was not a muslim.
And yes google knows exactly who asks what questions and the answers you get are the ones you are looking for.
