Sometimes we tend to over compensate to balance the scales. Just have to over look us we mean well.
I think we put too much stock rhetorically in the apparent quality of cabinet ministers. Ministers are the spokespeople of the government. They are the face of policy. Optics is part of their job. They aren't chosen for their expertise or ability in the field of ministry. Most of the time they are chosen as entitlements to loyal and connected and members or MPs that will be groomed for higher positions. The quality of the job done at the civil service depend on the civil servants.
With MPs, you have a limited pool and you can go on about the best person for the job, but it really doesn't matter. You just need someone good enough.
He's a feminist? Didn't look very feminist when he was hanging with the segregated men at the mosque, lol.

We should greet-with cynical amusement-any pronouncement by our prime minister- that brainless Boy Justin-regarding his interest in democracy and fair play. He is clearly only interested in RIGGING democracy for his own benefit. Consider the mischief he may do with electoral reform and the concept of the “ranked ballot” , combined with his stated insistence that he is a staunch feminist-and as such he insists that we ought to reserve half the seats in parliament for women.
Under the electoral ranked ballot system we voters will pick our 3 favourite candidates-with number one being our first choice-etc-to number 3 being least interesting. Its all very well if there is a clear winner of one party or another. But what happens when the vote is split several ways? WHO COUNTS the ballots? We live in a time of corruption! Does anybody recall the PUBLIC MESS that ensued after George W. Bush was apparently elected the first time in Florida?
The Great Republic was torn and tangled as lawyers argued over which critical Florida ballots to count? And which to throw aside as somehow spoiled or invalid for some bullshit reason? Do we want to imitate a ballot system that is so complicated that it takes frickin` LAWYERS to decide who wins or loses?
And what of the Russians and their alleged hacking of the Yankee election that put Don Trump in charge? LIE-berals think trump is a fraud-and yet want to have a fraud HERE! For the sake of peace, for the sake of honesty, we MUST have a system in place that is NOT hack-able, and that is NOT at the mercy of stinking lawyers! This means we MUST NOT go down the road to the Yankee system. PAPER ballots with CLEAR choices must be used for honest elections. Given the MASSIVE debts run up by LIE-berals and adding the fantastic pension promises made to Hogs in exchange for Lie-beral power, the next set of elections in Canada will be CRITICAL for the future of our country and we MUST have confidence in the results.
Now–consider how we will decide to ensure half our parliament will be female-as Our brainless feminist Boy desires? Will we set aside a certain number of ridings and decree that they MUST elect a female? Or will it be the whim of LIE-beral govt to decide who gets the female candidates regardless of who is first on the ballots? Even if that female is listed as second or third or seventh on a ranked ballot of preferences? Must some of us simply accept a female MP and SCREW any other choice regardless of public preference?
What happens if a male candidate is the popular choice but there are no seats left for men? Must we accept an inferior, less popular female candidate because OUR brainless Boy Justin has ordered it? This ranked ballot crap cuts both ways. Flora McDonald was finance minister under LIE-beral Lester Pearson in the early 1960`s-if memory serves- and what happens if a latter day Flora is the popular choice and is told: “sorry, all the seats for women are taken” so get lost?
And what happens if the popular choice in a riding is for a man from one party and the only available parliamentary seat left is for a woman-and the ONLY female candidate in the riding is FROM ANOTHER PARTY? Do we shove aside the popular choice of a man from the winning party in favour of the lesser party candidate simply because it`s a SHE? Can we still call it democracy if LAWYERS are picking through and counting our ballots and govt is telling us what party members are acceptable TO THEM based on gender?
We already have enough questions about the legitimacy of our elections. Does nobody remember VOUCHING? That odious system where unknown people with no legitimate documents would show up at a polling station and demand to be allowed to vote at critical times when the candidates are separated only by a small number of votes. And the people who DECIDE who gets to vote are HUGELY BIASED civil service Working Family Hogs-who DEMAND raises in pay in exchange for putting LIE-berals in power?
The Hogs are already locked in a GROSS conflict of interest in that they have been consistently voting LIE-beral in exchange for solid gold pensions, pay and perks of office! The conflict of interest is so glaring that LIE-beral premier McWynnty stood in front of a pack of teachers, right after becoming premier after Dalton McGinty abdicated, and swore she would do whatever it takes to regain their trust-and that HOG TRUST IS BOUGHT with gravy! And its worth recalling WHY McGinty abdicated-he had tried to rein in insane govt spending by imposing TIGHT contract/salary and pension restrictions on Hogs and got driven out of office for his temerity!
And now McWynnty is walking the tight rope-having promised rich gravy to Hogs in the last election-gravy she DOES NOT HAVE! She owes OSSTF/our high school teachers about 55 BILLION DOLLARS which we DON’T HAVE-and there are 18 other civil service unions she owes money to as well-she must pay them all or be destroyed-just like Dalton McGinty!
Hogs work hand in glove with LIE-berals to get around election spending rules-its why our premier McWynnty is now quietly altering the election spending rules to prevent angry Hogs from turning on her and bombing HER with Attack ads-if she cannot come up with the gravy Hogs are demanding! And sadly for her, she is failing badly in the gravy supply business!
The people running our elections are Hogs and if one has a complaint about fairness during an election then one must seek justice-FROM A HOG! If a CEO of a corporation was offering such bribes-meaning better pay for his workers in exchange for Conservative votes and election of Conservative candidates, we are assured that LIE-berals would scream the house down! And yet these despicable hypocrites expect us to sit quietly while they rig our electoral system in THEIR FAVOUR?
Worst of all, LIE-beral style electoral reform HAS been in use in Europe for decades so we know how well it works! It’s a blueprint for chaos! For Canadians to benefit from this transition, we need to elect Green Members of Parliament. Only Green MPs will stand up to defend our coastlines from increased tanker traffic, our rivers and parks from reckless pipeline projects, and our economy from further pursuit of high-risk extractive schemes that threaten Canada’s long-term prosperity. Only Green MPs will position our economy to reap the full benefits of the inevitable global shift to a fossil-fuel free economy.
It is time for Canada to take bold climate action.

Defend our coastal waters from risky pipelines and oil tankers
(OH yes- tankers from Venezuela are FINE- but no Cdn tankers allowed! And it does not matter that Cdn oil is produced under TIGHTER regulations than foreign oil!)
Only Green MPs will put our coastal communities first by standing against all new raw bitumen export schemes.
(SO Greens will kill Cdn natural gas exports- which means that countries like China will continue to burn coal!)
Kinder Morgan proposes a seven-fold increase in oil sands tanker traffic through Vancouver and Burnaby, while Energy East proposes to increase tanker traffic through the Bay of Fundy. These tankers would carry bitumen from the oil sands, mixed with toxic diluents to make it flow, a mixture that is impossible to clean up if spilled.
(WE have a choice here- Venezuelan tankers in Bay of Fundy- and Venezuela has tar sads of their own in use! Or we can have more heavily regulated Cdn tankers in Bay of Fundy!)
A single tanker accident would ruin our coast and the lives and livelihoods that depend on its health. That is why we recognize that the economic, social and environmental consequences of approving these projects is simply too high. We will take a stand and defend our coastline.
Poll after poll shows that the people of the West Coast will not allow this risky project. More than half of British Columbians say they oppose the Kinder Morgan expansion, including more than three-quarters of young British Columbians.
(And is it not quite hypocritical that B.C. natives are putting more cars on the road each year- And that they are whining about the high price of gas as well? Greens have NOT honestly read the pub;ic mood at all! Opposition to Kinder Morgan is all about BLACKMAIL! IT is local politicians and native groups- supported by a few lunatic fringe players- seeking extra “compensation” for tolerating pipelines!)
Even the Ontario Energy Board has ruled that Energy East poses more risks than benefits.
(Gosh- a bunch of LIE-beral appointees have SUPPORTED LIE-beral policy- and we should be surprised?)
While the old parties use complaints about process to avoid taking a stand, or even fast track and support these projects outright, the Green Party is the only party standing up for the people and communities threatened by these projects.
Arrest the growth in oil sands expansion
(OIL sands operations have already been crippled- in 2007 we had a federal govt surplus of $10 billion and that is GONE thank largely to oil price drops and crippled Cdn production! Many people deplore the dictators of Saudi Arabia- and yet shutting down Cdn oil production means Saudi oil production grows more valuable- and STRENGTHENS the Sheikhs hand!)
Protecting existing jobs in the industry, creating new jobs by upgrading and refining existing production, and providing skills training for workers who have been laid off or who want to transition to more stable, long-term jobs. This strategy (more Peter Lougheed and less Ralph Klein) would actually help Alberta’s economy avoid the disruptive boom and bust cycle.
(Greens are talking through their hats! They talk glibly about new jobs but cannot tell us how such jobs would be created, or how long they would last without massive govt subsidies! WE know that for every green job created- TWO other jobs get killed off! Spain and Germany have proven this fact!)
Given climate realities and volatile international oil prices, expanding oil sands production is simply not on. Most of the bitumen in the Alberta oil sands must remain in the ground. We will create new jobs in Canada’s oil and gas sector by refining the product we already produce, rather than shipping it out raw for refining in other countries.
(There is the ULTIMATE GREEN DELUSION! The airheads have learned NOTHING from the Pierre Trudeau/Petro Caanda debacle! LIE-berals BOUGHT some oil companies and distributers and cobbled Petro Canada together! And in spite of being given FREE ACCESS to Cdn ol fields- civil service union Hog run Petro Canada NEVER made a penny!!!!!By comparison- private companies that had to PAY for access to Cdn oil fields made FINE PROFITS!)
(IN the end- Brian Mulroney sold off Petro Canada rather than waste more tax money subsidizing the oil Hogs!)
In addition to increasing our refining capacity, Canada should be leading the global clean technology industry – an industry that has boomed in other countries like Germany, where over 1.4 million clean-tech jobs generate over 11 percent of the country’s GDP.
(And as previously mentioned- each green job created- KILLS 2.5 regular jobs! WE can NOT AFFORD such math!)
We need to respect the oil sands workers whose livelihoods still depend on the industry, and to support the tens of thousands of oil sands workers who have recently been laid off. Canada should provide these workers with retraining to ensure they find good, long-term reliable jobs close to home, not jobs that are vulnerable to cycles of boom and bust and often thousands of kilometres away from their families.
(Socialists have been assuring us for decades that if we would only support them then we can all have a fine life! But the collapse of Soviet Union and the chaos in Venezuela throws the LIE back into the faces of Green socialists! Even Chinese Communists have a stock market and capitalist economy! Socialism SUCKS!)
We must also provide urgent support to First Nations living downstream from the oil sands, whose communities and traditional foods are being contaminated by oil sands pollution in the Athabasca water and air sheds, with devastating health consequences.
(That support has already been offered- the pollution has been DRASTICALLY REDUCED- and what is left is a residue from many decades back when the world was more careless! LIE-berals are already playing this card by using “consultations” with natives to hold up Kinder Morgan!)
