Remember when they ran on electoral reform (& legalization of weed) to get a majority? Pepperidge Farms remembers…

Canada got legalized weed eventually, but not so much on the electoral reform…but it’s only been about a decade so maybe they’re still work’n on that one?
They didn't have a choice. SCoC set a time limit or it went decriminalized with no rules.

Harper Conservatives put forth a legalization bill that Liberals dragged out and died on the table as the house dissolved for the 2015 election.

#1 benefactor of the legalization of weed was the banks through elimination of the cash economy. Now it's all credit cards.

Banks are making scandalous amounts of money without reproach to their methods imo.

Most of the weed companies had to go through credit unions. The big banks operate internationally. It's too risky when other countries still have weed and money laundering laws.

Banks are making their money shorting the stocks while at the same time protecting that credit card debt level. Provincially regulated industry just like they want it to be.

Yup. Cash/debit/credit in person, on app or online. IOS or windows. Android is stuck with US BS so cant order on android app. The weedstore I go to gives 10% off for seniors, military and active first responders.
Pikers. Mine gives 25% off to veterans. Not sure about old fuckers, and aren't the first responders kinda inactive when they're baked?

Depends on where you go. In Ontario a lot brick and mortar shops give 10% discounts to the people Petros mentioned above. But if you have a script most of the medical LPs have "compassion pricing" of anywhere from 20% to 30% off. That generally applies to veterans and people on disability. But it's also a bit of a scam because their prices also tend to be about 20%-30% higher than the brick and mortar shops who sell much of the same products.

I think I liked it better when it was illegal. Oh, pushers are dishonest too. They're just generally not as sophisticated about it as corporations.

Sophisticated? Nah. It's real easy to be a scammer when, by law, the consumer can't even see or smell the product before buying it. Back in the illegal days a good dealer would even let you test drive the weed before buying. I don't expect that to happen with legal weed but at a brick and mortar shop I should at least be able to actually see what it looks like before I get it home.
