Hoping that Trudeau will stick around and be the leader of the opposition. Will be interesting to hear what he complains about.
I’d love to see Trudeau as the Leader of the Opposition!! Every time he opens his mouth, a committee is started on “WE”
or “SNC Lavalamp” or one of his other 37 Scandals or screw ups or pay offs… & maybe Canadian Taxpayers will get to hear some truth about the last 6yrs where he can’t just use our money to bribe Jagnut or the Bloc to back up the Liberal filth to hide their shenanigans from us any longer.

How much does an office reno cost these days? If you are a Liberal cabinet minister, the figure can reach higher than what some people would spend on their homes.

Documents released by the Conservative Party in the middle of the election show that the Trudeau government spent $356,042 to renovate the office of the minister of digital government.

If you didn’t know that there was a minister of digital government, there is even less chance that you knew the minister was Vancouver Quadra MP and current Liberal candidate Joyce Murray. When releasing the news of the $356,042 office renovation for Murray, though, the Conservatives took aim at Quebec City cabinet minister Jean-Yves Duclos.

Trudeau was campaigning with Duclos in Quebec on Thursday as the Conservatives distributed the hefty bill along with a news release denouncing the lavish spending. As president of the Treasury Board, it was Duclos who approved the renovation both as the minister in charge of government spending and the senior minister responsible for Murray’s file.

“Spending $350,000 on office renovations is completely inappropriate and we are calling on Duclos to force his colleague to repay the money to taxpayers,” said Conservative candidates Michael Barrett and Pierre Paul-Hus in a joint statement.

The repayment is unlikely to happen but voters might notice the bills piling up.

That’s a tally of $681,006 between two ministers for renovations and a new car in the last two years, expect more bills and the documents to back them up to be released as the campaign goes on.

Minister of Digital Content,

I assume there are deputy ministers as well as senior and junior aides. Curious if it was the Vancouver office or the Ottawa office she blew the cash on. Seems unbelievable to be able to spend that much on an office renovation. No doubt there is an insider renovation contractor working at exorbitant hourly rates plus the consulting.

Sounds like she was a tree planter who ended up buying the company. Nothing at all about how digital content is governed.

Would be a drag if she was not re elected and had to give up her beautiful office. Of course the next one will renovate the renovation because that is what they do.

Voters of Vancouver Quadra please do us a favour.

"About Joyce Murray
Following a highly successful 25-year career building an international reforestation company and 4 years in the provincial cabinet of the B.C. Liberal government, the Honourable Joyce Murray was appointed Minister of Digital Government on November 20, 2019.
The Member of Parliament for Vancouver Quadra since 2008, Joyce served as Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board following the 2015 general election, and later as President of the Treasury Board.
During this time she championed and helped lead the development of the Centre for Greening Government. Making federal government operations more environmentally friendly and efficient was a natural project for Joyce, whose entrepreneurial spirit led her to build a company that has planted almost 1.5 billion trees—more than 500,000 of which she planted herself.
She received the Simon Fraser University Dean’s Medal as the top MBA graduate in 1992, was the chair of the board at Brinkman and Associates Reforestation, and served as British Columbia’s Environment Minister and Minister of Management Services in Gordon Campbell’s cabinet from 2001 to 2005.
Joyce Murray has always been a thought-leader, driving progressive new policies in government. Whether advocating for strong, smart environmental measures or being an early advocate of the legalization and regulation of cannabis, Joyce’s ability to envision and deliver on bold new ideas comes from her depth of experience in politics and business.
She is passionate about investing in a fairer, greener economy that empowers future generations, and confident that digital innovation will offer important opportunities for improving services to Canadians."

Bernadette Jordan is another who can go. Tremendously under qualified which seems to be a thing with Trudeau.

About Bernadette Jordan
Bernadette Jordan has proudly served as Member of Parliament (MP) for South Shore-St. Margaret’s since October 2015. She was first appointed to Cabinet in January 2019 as Minister of Rural Economic Development (RED), making her the first female elected in Nova Scotia to become a Minister of the Crown. After being re-elected in 2019, Bernadette was appointed Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, a role she holds today.

A strong advocate for coastal communities, Bernadette moved quickly to deal with an issue that hits close to home - abandoned and derelict vessels. Her private members’ motion, ‘Abandoned vessels’ (M-40), called on the Government to take meaningful steps to address the issue of abandoned vessels across the country, and it was passed by the House of Commons unanimously in October 2016. Her consistent advocacy on this file helped lead to the development of The Oceans Protection Plan (OPP). The OPP places responsibility and liability on vessel owners to properly remove and dispose of their vessels. Bernadette continues to advocate strongly on this issue as Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coastguard.

While Minister of RED, Bernadette released the first Federal strategy focused solely on laying the foundation for a more prosperous, competitive, and thriving rural Canada. Under the strategy, there is work being done across the federal government to ensure all Canadians have access to affordable, high-speed internet, no matter where they live. Previously she served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Democratic Institutions, Chair of the Atlantic Liberal Caucus, and Chair of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans.

Prior to being elected, Bernadette was President of the Atlantic Community Newspapers Association, Committee Chair for the Earth Day Challenge, and worked as a Development Officer for the Health Services Foundation in Bridgewater Nova Scotia, where she spent eight years as part of a team raising millions of dollars for health care in the region. She is a proud alumnus of St. Francis Xavier University, where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.

Bernadette is happily married to her husband Dave and together they have raised three children in the beautiful South Shore: Isaac, Mason, and Rebecca.

The national Debt Clock is a digital counter on the side of a truck that shows the national debt going up in real time.

“It’s hard for most of us to imagine a trillion-dollar debt, but we know what it’s like to watch a bill going up in real time, and that’s exactly what the Debt Clock shows Canadians,” said Franco Terrazzano, federal director of the Canadian Taxpayer’s Federation.

“Canada’s national debt is already more than $1 trillion and it’s going up by almost $400 million every day. If a Canadian makes a two-minute YouTube video in front of the Debt Clock, that video will show the national debt go up by more than $500,000.”

The taxpayer’s federation says the debt is growing by $391.5 million every day or by $4,531 every second.

Each Canadian’s share of the federal government’s debt is about $30,800.

The Parliamentary Budget Officer has said the federal debt isn’t projected to be balanced until 2070.

“It’s time for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to rein in his massive borrowing and give taxpayers a plan to balance the budget,” said Terrazzano. “A balanced budget means less debt for Canadian kids and grandkids to pay back, less money wasted on interest charges and fewer tax hikes.”

This is what we all get when we have allowed our traitorous politicians to allow private globalist banksters to create our money. If we created our own money instead, which we can, we could pay off that debt in no time. The CTF knows this but they never seem to want to tell anybody this fact. Why is that?

Even if the conservative party wins the next election, nothing will happen to the Turd anyway because they all have this secret deal among them that one party will do nothing to the other party when they take power. Our politicians will always protect and save their opponents ass from any real real scrutiny. The Turd will be able to retire on our tax dollars somewhere in the Caribbean in his mansion on the beach, and stand there and give us the finger every day just like his old Marxist man did decades ago on the train.

If I were the leader of the conservative party, I would have taken all of my party members out of parliament and taken to the streets like the trucker protesters did and stay away from entering parliament "ILL" until the Turd ends all covid mandates and restrictions. Or if not do that, just sit in the house and do nothing because whatever the conservatives say in parliament, it's in the liberal ear on one side and out the other. They do not have to care what the conservatives say. They are in the majority thanks to the communist NDP.

We the peasants are screwed from ever seeing the Turd pay for his crimes against Canada and Canadians and humanity. The Turd will walk away a free scumbag. (n)

WRONG - the idiot buried us in debt over two years ago a week after the endemic first got started, handing out money to every person who cried poverty. Every one of those handout should have been a low interest loan! Now the ones like myself who struggled through w/o whining are going to be paying the piper!

You cheered on the CERB.
Maybe one or two aspects of it. I don't mind seeing temporary cash available to those in need, but there has to be a provision up front to repay it. He was more interested in votes than actually helping people!
