Nope. Look at the policies of successive governments over the last 50 years. Big governments, highest levels of program spending in the country and power centralized in Edmonton. Nobody with s smidgeon of objectivity would call Alberta government policy over the past 50 years "conservative". The only reason Albertans vote Conservative is because they hate the Liberal brand. That's understandable, given the Trudeau legacy. It's also why it really wasn't all that surprising that the Dippers got in
Division and rivalry in Alberta is all about design,I recall some of the time frames of region politics,I recall the division which is manufactured,of my fellow Albertans.
The Conservatives thrived on the region concept of dividing Alberta, administered processs assisted with these concepts
Appointing Regional boards had its day in Alberta, appointing individuals with communities,Oh yes I remember
I really don't do that regional political thing anymore, travelling the information design path provoked turmoil in my heart, lots of agitation to my PST,travelling the East West thing,North South thing ,living on the edge of three counties in the middle of nowhere has filled my regional thing to the brim.
As a romantic Liberal I think of Alberta as a whole,no regard for municipal politics,
Don't do the Calgary or Edmonton think, hockey or other wise

Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens are my teams, can't remember the last time I watched a hockey game.

I love Alberta,I just have no say in the design of Alberta

When I profiled and information audited appointments and processs which accompanied the concepts of regional boards,I was disgusted, awakenedto realities of manipulators at their finest,I recall my deep sense of loneliness and big insecurities, but that was yesterday,
I started to go to Conventions which were political,I assessed further design of reciprocal regional concepts, understanding the whiskey and water syndrome of regional divisions,
I will skip some of my fun I had at these political gatherings, but let it be known the whiskey and water syndrome is a ugly place to be,and auditing regional design had me challenged
Oh well!
Who wants to view their MP or MLA in such a horrible lens

Sadly I know about regional Hospitals,I know the risks of oversight of regional Hospitals .
I know how regions are mastered designed to divide communities
I know about regional phone calls, wait times in response to emergencies ,
Regional Hospitals ?What a heartache this auditing journey had become, could not even complete that auditing process, very saddened on what I could about regional Hospitals

Then let's look at rural Alberta. Given that farmers are the worst lot for looking for government handouts when things aren't going their way, it's pretty difficult to claim that they are "conservative". It costs the government far more per capita to provide services in rural areas but try to close a school or some hospital bed and rural folks whine like a vegan at a cattle auction.
Food is a commodity and unfortunately food production has not been viewed as a commodity which garners power, bad design

In rural Alberta we have lost our palliative and respite beds under the Conservative shell game of manipulating, better yet our MLA and Mp response to questions was mean, aggressive, and of bad taste in to why beds were lost, political *****s!!!

Trudeau's 'star power' unlikely to nab seat for Liberals in Alberta byelection

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the riding earlier this month in an effort to boost the chances of Liberal candidate Stan Sakamoto, a local businessman. Trudeau attracted about 2,500 people hoping to catch a glimpse of him.

A Calgary political scientist says the Liberals aren’t likely to win the election, despite the numbers Trudeau attracted in a province that went Conservative blue in all but five ridings in last fall’s federal election.

“He’s got that star power. No question. There’s a celebrity element in this. (People) want to see him and know a little more about him,” Lori Williams, from Mount Royal University, said of Trudeau.

“(But) Hillyer won the riding with 67 per cent of the vote … The Liberals got 26 per cent, so that’s a pretty steep margin to overcome.”
Williams said the Liberals had more resources to pour into the campaign because it was a byelection. She also suggested the possibility of having a local MP at the cabinet table might influence some people to be open to change.

Alberta
Everybody in Medicine Hat, including Stan, knew it wasn't a good idea but telling Trudeau's ego to stay away wasn't an option

Liberals aren't big on people jumping ship on a whim it is a character thing, the ship is only so big to hold the ever growing convicted, possibly our PM arrived for different less obvious intent, personal or otherwise these outcomes are very predictable in Alberta,no surprise with the outcome of Medicine Hat,and I am sure the party gathered some of Medicine Hats finest a long the way, there is no room on the ship for yesterday ideologies
Alberta does not hold a lot of secrets in voting strategies or outcomes but once in a while the voting electorate surprises us,as witnessed with previous elections ,I can't wait for SH riding to come up for election, does anyone know when this is?
