What political gain?

The NDP and Con's in parliament will gain from the destruction of the Liberal shiny pony's public image of Justin's character. Remember Harper? Taking him down was a huge exercise in making the public perceive him as, "not a nice guy"

;)

The broad majority of those surveyed (71%) said it had no impact on their view of Mr. Trudeau, 23% said it made them feel worse about him; 6% better.

Most (49%) of the 23% who said the incident darkened their view of Mr. Trudeau said they voted CPC last fall.

That's what happens when you set yourself up so high
Everyone will be looking to hit you off that horse. It took 10 years to do it to Harper.

Little by little they will chip away at Justin's public image. ;)
Tom did it to Harper, and now he's going to do it to Trudeau.

The people's elbow has spoken.

• Favourability towards the PM didn’t shift a single point.

• On the “personal values he brings to the job”, the rating did not shift a single point. 19% judged his values negatively before the incident and after.

• Before #elbowgate 81% said the PM “genuinely cares about other people”, afterwards, 82% agreed with the same statement.

• Before #elbowgate 76% said the PM “sets a good example for young people in Canada”, afterwards, 77% agreed with the statement.

Yes, it has been since the ejection.

So the NDP's ship is sinking and they are fighting to stay relevant in the house, even if they are not, and are desperately trying to create political outrage against Trudeau who has effectively taken the feminist vote from the NDP last election, and now the NDP want it back and are willing to stoop to any sort of deception to achieve that?

Ok, Ya. We both agree.

Meanwhile the conservatives don't give a ****. They just see a opportunity to exploit any situation in their favor, like any other party dose?

So much for our higher morality ideology. Looks like we are all equally *******s.
When there is personal gain to be had.

anyway, this little bit of HoC drama is over. the spoiled little rich kid pm that stepped beyond his job description was spanked for his actions. gerry butts called-off the liberal trolls for the most part and carbon-foot printed over to jaypan with justine for some photo-ops.

I don't know what the dippers are doing anymore.

I'm cleaning windows and enjoying tunes in the sunshine. later on it's burgers, beverages and potato salad on the balcony.

y'all should go outside and enjoy the holiday...maybe even away from the internet.

Fiasco!!! Nothing like a little melodrama to get all the girls hysterical! You were doing fine as far as the "f". Faux pas would be a more realistic description of the scenario. According to the experts the episode has revealed some "cracks" in Justin's persona, not the least of which is he's a bit of a bull sh*tter, but if he minds his "ps and qs" he'll recover eventually. I always did question his ability to run a big country..........................still do, but I'm only one of 35 million! :) :)

I take it that you approve of Trudeau's actions to deliberately go out to physically drag the Conservative whip to his chair and telling people to get the fukk out of his way to anyone he comes across?

Elbowing that woman's chest was just one of the many mistakes he made that night

Throwing yourself against someone to accuse them of assaulting you is not acceptable in any circumstances. The same way rape is unacceptable under no circumstances.

The same way false equivalence is unacceptable.

So you are saying it's ok to blame the victim for other people's action in this case? Explain

It's justified to throw yourself on someone and accuse them of assaulting you?

You can justify doing that?

Wooooooosh

Ya, he's not too bright that way.

The sad thing is that the "assisted suicide bill" will now be delayed.

It will get through. Probably no slower than any normal bill. It just won't be 'rushed' through without debate as was the original goal of the PM. The Liberals could have put a retro-active clause into it and said it will be effective 2016/04/01 (for example) regardless of when it gets passed if they had been concerned about the time it gets through. Also has to pass the senate.
