Our long-standing foreign policy is withering away. Canadians at large — those who are paying attention — find this behaviour irresponsible and reprehensible. They worry about Canada losing its moral high ground on the world stage. They see our traditional values eroding and our stance with democratic allies diminishing. Most want the good old days back when being Canadian meant something more than a passport and a quiet place to live.

There is a systematic effort in our institutions to erode our global standing and our long-held alliances that placed us in a community of allied democratic nations. What happened this week in parliament is a wake-up call for all Canadians: we need to stand our ground and voice our displeasure, so that we can once again feel proud and free.

Canada’s lean-in to radical and terrorist groups like Hamas is disconcerting to many Canadians. The reverberations are felt in Europe and America, where in my travels around the globe, many shake their heads in bewilderment, asking just what happened to Canada? They wonder how Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly, and a noted Member of Parliament, Ya’ara Sacks, could stand warmly alongside the terror-inciting, Holocaust-denying, corrupt Palestinian “President” Mahmoud Abbas.

This aggressive protest action against Toronto’s mayor, not in Nathan Phillips Square, but right in Toronto’s council chambers, is something no one else would get away with. Toronto Police say there is no investigation or charges pending. They referred any questions to City Hall security, but it’s clear in videos there was no security present.

During the protest, one woman allegedly threw horse manure at police while another is “accused” of using a flagpole “to spear at an officer,” according to police.

Assia Rami, 24, and Celeste Xiaoying Furlotte-Bois, 27, of Toronto, are each charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.

A driver was also charged with stunt driving under the Highway Safety Act for allegedly operating a truck with occupants in the bed of the moving vehicle. The vehicle has been impounded for 14 days and his driver’s licence suspended for 30 days.

While officers were seizing the truck, police said, demonstrators became aggressive towards them. It was at this point, that manure was thrown at officers, according to the “allegations”.

Police also “alleged” that several people interfered when officers made an arrest. Four people were arrested for breaching the peace.

Three were later released without any charges, while one was wanted on a warrant for an unrelated crime and turned over to the OPP.

Sources close to the man say what he was wearing was not a mock suicide vest, but a perfectly legal “Hang Ten Belt — a utility belt that allows you to carry up to 10 Wire-Pull or Burst Smoke Grenades into action” that is sold in stores or online. Nothing to see here, etc…& maybe (or not) appropriate for a peaceful demonstration if that’s the goal.

They also captured the West Bank from Jordan, the Sinai peninsula from Egypt (which they returned) & the Golan Heights from Syria (which the eastern 1/3 was returned to Syria, & the western 2/3 wasn’t). Israel returned the sinai peninsula to Egypt in exchange for peace, but Syria wasn’t interested so here we are regarding the Golan Heights.
In 1987 Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Shimon Peres and King Hussein tried secretly to arrange a peace agreement in which Israel would concede the West Bank to Jordan. The two signed an agreement defining a framework for a Middle Eastern peace conference. The signing ceremony took place at the southern border crossing of Arabah on 26 October 1994. Jordan was the second , after Egypt, to sign a peace accord with Israel. Weirdness.

Thus the call for pre-1967 borders in the two state solution concept…so pre-1967 Gaza was a militarily occupied part of Egypt, & the West Bank was annexed by Jordan, the Golan Heights was part of Syria, and Israel was about to be completely gained up on by its neighbours.

Where are you getting 1967 crap from. It's not 1967 and not what has recently (past 30 years) been squabbled over. The 1967 borders are impossible after the settlements.
