We don't have space missions, and if we're to invest billions in people's well-being shouldn't it be our own people's well being as opposed to foreigners?

Yes and no. Where the need is the same we should help our own first, but people whose lives are in danger should be helped first. Not rocket science. That is what the triage system at the hospital is based on!

I'd hate to see you take a crack at rocket science. You've made multiple mistakes about what triage is in only two lines. Here's one of them: triage divides patients into three groups, not two (the "tri" in "triage" is a hint).

Where did I say it was two? I'm quite aware of the meaning of "tri", hence tricycle, tripod, trimester, triangle! :)

You didn't have to say two, but you did.

No, never said it, never thought it. I can easily understand how the word evolved from "three", but from my experience in the E.R. it's just a system where you are put in the line according to the gravity of your condition.

"ravity of your condition"....... that must mean the more you weight the further up the line you go, eh!!

Gravity = weight or force.

On earth = g = 9.80665 m/s2

For other planets, it's;

F= G m1m2/r2

Or 32 ft. per second per second! :)

But our governments have a habit of lying to us about the costs of immigration and refugees. They'll give you some costs, but not others. For example, I doubt the cost of their ongoing health care will be figured into the above, since the provinces will have to eat that. Even a little effort at basic arithmetic, never mind math, will show you how nonsensical the Canadian figure is. 50,000 people x 15,000 per year (being HUGELY conservative) will come out to $4.5 billion over 6 years.

And who says the costs stop after six years?

[/QUOTE]

The cost is quite easy to check. All government expenditures are public record. Also, every study of immigration in Canada shows that immigrants give a boost to the economy far beyond the cost of settling them in.
