It's deceiving. Story starts off with a 16 year old who sought and got counseling. Fine and dandy but the story takes a hard turn insinuating the available counseling will be lost the same way hormonal therapy and surgery for under 18 is being limited.

That's not true. The availability of counseling is increasing to focus on the mental over physical aspects.

Without the person being in the right headspace to go further if chosen as an adult only makes sense.

Nobody is denying mental health services AT ALL...
