Don't know, don't care. He thinks he does. More importantly, there are millions of American voters that agree with him.

So you're going to admit that the American voter wants more wars, wants to be more at risk for terrorist attacks, wants Iran's status to tick up in the world, wants the US to become a parriah...

Okay then.

Explain again how trans people (specifically trans women, because trans men are okay to exist) have rights like everyone else?
Everybody has the same Rights you do or I do.

EVERYBODY!!!

You and team Skittles were the reason Trump was elected. Live with your mistake, wrangle in the crazies that brought the disdain upon yourselves and try again in 3 years using sanity and truth.

There y'go, Serryah. "I wish you hadn't made me do it." The age-old cry of the abusive parent/spouse.

Not surprised really that would be the mentality of a lot of the 'anti' crowd.

But you know damn well if it was turned out on them that they were being denied things, they would be freaking out over it worse than others.

Crazy isn't a Right. In fact, crazy is one of the few ways for Rights to be suspended in favour of the Rights of society to live in safety.

When the Skittles are arbitrarily arrested under the Mental Health Act and given 72 hour institutional assessments then you can bitch and scream bloody murder.

We have a different standard.

I believe you do. Are you Maryland or Virginski?

Anyhoo Maryland...

A 72-hour psychiatric hold in Maryland is a period of emergency care and treatment for a person who may be a danger to themselves or others. The hold is also known as a 5150 or 5585.

How it works
A hospital must release a patient within 72 hours, unless they meet the criteria for involuntary admission.

If a patient meets the criteria for involuntary admission, they will be certified and have an administrative hearing within 10 days

If a patient does not meet the criteria for 0involuntary admission, they will be released

When it can be triggered
A 72-hour hold can be triggered if the patient is a danger to themselves or others
A 72-hour hold can also be triggered if the patient is unable to provide for their basic needs.

How to request an emergency evaluation
Complete a Petition for Emergency Evaluation (CC-DC-013)
File the petition during court hours
Attend the hearing the same day

Have you heard of any arbitrary 72hrs 5150 assessments for wanting to lop off boobies and weiners?

Throughout the United States, one can only be held involuntarily if one is deemed nutso and "a threat to self or others." Nutso alone don't do it. Hell, if it did, the 3% of us who ain't bat-shit crazy'd be awful busy guarding the rest.

Mental health
In 2018, 32% of sexual minority Canadians reported poor or fair mental health, compared to 11% of heterosexual Canadians

In 2024, 29.7% of 2SLGBTQ+ people reported poor or fair mental health, compared to 9.1% of non-2SLGBTQ+ people

LGBTQ+ people are more likely to be diagnosed with mood or anxiety disorders than heterosexual people

Young LGBTQ+ people are at a higher risk of poor mental health than older LGBTQ+ adults

Maybe dealing with these numbers should be the prime focus rather than going untreated and joining the circus where medication comes from street drugs and alcohol.

Giving someone the cognitive skills to handle the circus keeping their wits and dignity is by far the Right that needs enhanced access for the Skittles. I'd support chucking funding at specialized out patient clinics for Skittles rather than "affirmation".

Access is lacking for everyone. Meth and fentanyl damage is sucking up all the resources.

Nobody gives a shit about gays or dykes any longer. The gays in my family aren't impressed by pronouns, obnoxious behaviour and bizzare demands, the commercialization of Pride(a big issue with that), kid drag that goes overboard because the show is for mothers not their children and especially the Trans trend. The meanest things I ever heard about Trans has came from gays. Gay kids don't need blockers and go Trans. They need to experience being gay not pushed into something they aren't with no possibility of parole.

Of course not. And there's no racism or sexism either.

Depends on who you ask, there is, it's just not against black, latino, asians, etc, and not against women, but against the poor widdle white boys.

The thing about the trans rights issue is, at least as I see it, is that it's not about trans people wanting 'extra rights', rather to just have the rights they have - like everyone else - be respected/applied like it should be.

For example the stuff Trump just did, it prevents the free travel of trans people. Now some would argue that it doesn't, but doesn't it? Trans people are allowed to travel as the gender they are?

No, no they're not. They're even having their passports taken and held so that if they do travel beyond the US, getting back - if they want - is not gonna happen.

What's happening instead is trans people are being told their gender and if they don't like it, too bad. If they want to do anything in their lives, they have to lie about that status and assume a false name to go with it, just to exist.

So what happened to the right of "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness?"

It's the same for any other minority too, this isn't just trans exclusive. But this IS suddenly a big focus considering what Trump just did all in the name of misogyny and bigotry and just plain cruelty and abject stupidity.

I just want to cry over the injustice.
