Some LIE-berals- desperate to save even any small portion of their now very much disgraced party policies are whining about the threat to whales if KInder Morgan is built......
LIE-berals ignore certain issues such as - the pipeline being built is an EXPANSION of existing pipelines going to long established markets - it is NOT all new construction to a new market!
Kinder Morgan has apparently managed its existing pipelines well enough in B.C. and they should be able to handle the expansion well enough - IF Our idiot Boy- decides the pipeline rally is important!! Which he WILL NOT!!!
Some whiners point to the threat to fish and wild life from oil - while they IGNORE the steady decline in Salmon stocks thanks to habitat destruction on river head waters were Salmon spawn!
Whiners also ignore the gross levels of pollution in virtually ALL major Salmon spawning rivers!!
Whiners also ignore the over fishing of Salmon stocks that are not being given time to get to spawning grounds to breed before being netted and eaten!
Whiners are distressed over the recent death of a B.C. Orca - but have NO IDEA why it died! For all they know the baby marine mammal had a congenital heart defect of the sort human babies sometimes get!
To use the excuse of one lone animal dead under what may be natural circumstances, to bring huge swaths of Cdn industry to a halt is outrageous and illogical! Such reasoning is akin to telling civil service union Hogs that they MUST take a fifty percent pay cut because one lone Cdn is bankrupt!
LIE-berals are happy to use crappy logic to defend THEIR status but scorn it in others!!!!!
On the other hand it is CLEAR that civil service union Hogs MUST take a major pay cut since ALL our levels of govt are in debt up to their ears in pension promises to Hogs- promises made by LIE-berals that we CANNOT honour!!!! WE do not have the money!
AS for the Orcas- there is a second B.C. whale in ill health being monitored by scientists- overt signs of illness include the animal being very emaciated.
This leads us BACK to the issue of over fishing and destruction of habitat and the amount of pollution coming down river to the coast!
Has this Oraca been POISONED by insecticides used in large quantities by farmers on the Vancouver delta?
Or has the animal recently swum through a patch of sewage dumped either by the city- and we all know that sewage holding facilities often malfunction and overflow- especially in heavy rains when storm water mixes with sewage! Whale are mammals a we are and we can guess they catch many of the same diseases!
LIE-berals do not know the answer to why the animal is ill but would prefer to talk about FUTURE risks from oil rather than their current record of neglect and indifference to coastal conditions!!!!
Further- we know of studies of Seals on the B.C. coast- 30 years ago the tpical Seal diet contained about 89 percent deep water species of fish such as Halibut and Haddock and Salmon- with only 20 percent of the diet containing Pollock.
Now 30 years later we know the Seal diet has shifted- they now eat 80 percent Pollock and only 20 percent Halibut and Haddock and Salmon- with the result that Seal mortality rates are SOARING as Pollock has only a SMALL PORTION of the nutritional value of Halibut and Haddock and Salmon! Seal pups are proven to be starving to death due to our over fishing- yet HYPOCRITE LIE-berals prefer to whine about possible future threats to Orcas from oil shipments rather than address REAL CONCERNS in existence right now!
And LIE-berals certainly will NOT want to discuss the real possibility that the sick Orca currently in the news MIGHT simply be STARVING thanks to the over fishing and pollution that LIE-berals are ignoring!!!!!!!
