I can't wait until they start building the pipeline. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

From what I see, there are only a few refineries in BC. They could probably do with some more, or improve the ones they are using. It should be no problem to upgrade, or if necessary, annex some land and expand.

Hats off to the Mounties!

How much money did the tax payers shell out in order to have Harper and his entire band of yes men stump for oil?

The entire federal government worked for oil.

Shameful. I'm glad they got destroyed.

Who started PetroCanada?

Of that, Hawking would have said,

For that, you get a thumbs up.

When you get older, I think that you would be best in a trade. We'll talk more about that later.

Stephen Hawking: Greed And Stupidity Are What Will End The Human Race

Physicist Stephen Hawking says pollution coupled with human greed and stupidity are still the biggest threats to humans.

In an appearance on the BBC, Stephen Hawking dived into the science and technology that humans will need if the species hopes to abandon Earth prior to a likely cataclysm in the not-so-distant future.

Hawkings remained convinced that the human race must find a “Planet B” in the next 100 years since it was diminishing the Earth’s resources faster than it can replace them.

Mr. Hawking blames human greed and stupidity for the coming human extinction.

“We certainly have not become less greedy or less stupid,” Hawking told Larry King last year.

“The population has grown by half a billion since our last meeting [six years prior], with no end in sight. At this rate, it will be eleven billion by 2100.”

Hawking was also super worried about AI and the rise of the machines.

... Fortunately, we learned all our lessons from Terminator and know exactly how to deal with this grave threat

Cheap like borscht.

In SK shutdowns hits CRC (Co-op Refinery Complex) April 2 followed by Husky Lloydminster.

In AB:

2018 SHUTDOWNS/TURNAROUNDS
QUICK FACTS
All three major oil sands Owners will be conducting shutdown/turnaround maintenance activities
at their facilities in Alberta. Projects that will have shutdowns in the Spring of 2018 are:
Suncor Fort McMurray, Alberta
Syncrude Fort McMurray, Alberta
Shell Scotford Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Overall these shutdowns/turnarounds are approximately 30 to 160 days in duration (includes
pre and post turnaround work), pre-work is expected to commence well in advance of the actual
plant shutdown date and post shutdown activities may continue for 15 to 30 days following the
completion of the shutdown.

Tank up before Weds next week. Fuel is going to jump big time.

Scotford and CRC supplies BC with refined product.

Long shutdowns this year.

Gosh, I sure hope that the folks at Kinder Morgan don't decide to suspend operations in order to pressure check the entire line and maybe perform a system-wide safety check on their p/l to Burnaby.

Golly, that would really extend the pain

It's not just Burnaby. The Shell refinery in Anacortes Washington is linked to Shell Scotford in Edmonton by TMPL.
