Why do my teams suck... Why, whenever i suppourt a team they always loose?

Lol

Baseball is a game where the on any give day the best team will lose to the worst team.
A game where the best team will lose about 1/3 of their games.
A game where the worst team will win about 1/3 of their games.
Where somebody who is successful 30% of the time is usually considered an all star.

Or a game where the pitcher and the batter have long-standing animosities that result in an intentional hit followed by the weirdest helmet throw, a punch to the head then an all-out brawl.

I swear if i'm the only Reds fan at the game tomorrow i'm not holding back i'll be chirping Jays fans the whole game.

Have fun out there, Johnny..............but remember..............you are a Canadian...........please, do not be entirely obnoxious.

Didn't I hear that the Reds just came off a win over the last team they played? Just checked their schedule and they took their series with Philadelphia 2 games to 1 but it appears that they have had a bit of a rocky season. They had that one streak where they won 5 in a row but the 7-game losing streak in mid-May was pretty brutal. We'll see how they do today, Johnnny.........could be an entirely different ballgame.

If we finish ahead of the Cardinals i'll be happy and if we can win 2 of the next 3 series against Milwaukee, i'll be happier. And i'm really wishing :(

Well there you go, Johnnny........that's all we as team supporters - hate that word 'fans' - can do is hope and believe and celebrate every chance they give us. Cherish the wins and put the losses down to experience.

So........that idiotic infantile display of brutishness that broke out in the game between the Nationals and the Giants yesterday? Harper the - depending on the side you take - instigator of the fight got a 4-game suspension today. Strickland - who some might say is the real instigator - got 6 games as he intentionally hit Harper. No big deal except for the fact that the idiot Harper just happens to be one of the National's star players and will most certainly be missed in the line-up. Here's another bit of trivia. This retaliation was for incidents that happened two years ago. These guys may be great ball players but they really really need to grow the frick up.

More good news for the Jays, as Happ gets set to take to the mound in Game 2 against the Reds, Fransico Liriano will be on the mound for them on Friday. They've sent Leone back to Buffalo. Biagini is out of the bullpen which I take to mean he is in the pitching rotation now and makes me really happy for him. He threw 95 pitches in his last outing which bodes well for him getting starts.

.........and we are underway.

Reds are on the board with a homer off a fastball down the middle. Happ followed that by giving up another homer and just like that the Reds are up by two.

Biagini is sitting in the dug-out next to Marcus - that seals the deal, he's on the roster as a starter. YOU GO JOE!

Buck was just saying that the Reds have no problem scoring runs, it is preventing them wherein lies trouble. It's their pitching staff that hasn't been quite up to snuff.

I need to check and see how my Cubs are doing.

My ears perk up whenever they are mentioned, Ludlow and from all accounts, they are having themselves a pretty solid season.

Happ gives up the 2 homers, issues a walk and then gets out of the inning with no further damage.

Kevin grounds out to short - I feel bad for Pillar, he's in a real slump right now so soon after hitting everything that came his way - he's the only one in the line-up who didn't get on base last night.

3 up, 3 down for the Jays

JA just got himself a lovely little strike-out - that should perk him up. He seems to be settling in now.

Okay..............3 up, 3 down for the defense. Much, much better inning........now if a few of our bats would heat up...

Kendes gets a base hit and Smokie comes to the plate

....and smacks a line-drive that results in an easy double-play for the Reds

Russell strikes out ..........but at least we got someone on base this time

Once again we had a powerful wind storm blow through here knocking out our power at 5:20 PM. Needless to say, I missed the rest of the ballgame, so I checked sportsnet this morning to be greeted by this headline.

Donaldson Headlines Banner Night For Blue Jays Offense.

Do you enjoy home runs? The Toronto Blue Jays very much enjoy home runs. So much so that they smoked four of them Tuesday night, a combined 1,711 feet of home runs, including Kendrys Morales’ go-ahead shot in the eighth, in a 6-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

MLB - Sportsnet.ca

Sorry, Johnnny........it was another good night for the Jays - not so good for the Reds.

Well this is just fantastic, I not only get to see the Blue Jays play their entire game today, I also will get to watch Game 2 of the SCF. I love when the Universe works for me. Game starts at 9:30 AM - just an hour and a half away and I don't have to work today - all is well with my world.

Game 3: Jays vs Reds - Jays up 2 games to zip

In the month of April the Jays went 8 - 17. Contrast that with the month of May where they have gone 17 - 10.

Oh dear, Johnnny you may end up being a happy camper today...........my least favorite Jay's pitcher is on the mound today - Bolsinger. Hopefully, he will have good day - if not, he better have a short leash.

I have to say that Joey Bats has really impressed me this month. Considering that I was all in favor of trading him and keeping Eddy - who is not having a good year, it is nice to see he is making me eat my words.

Mike falls behind 3 and 0 before he finally throws a strike against Hamilton - the sneaky little base-stealer. Whoa! Hamilton called out on a strike that he protests - but not too hard.
First pitch to next batter is a hit to left that lands him on first
Joey Votto hits one out of the park and the Reds are on the board with 2

Duvall at the plate.........2 called strikes, 2 fouls, ball 1.........foul ball.......ball 2.....and Duvall goes down swinging for 2 away

Suarez takes a strike, swings and misses on next pitch............and Russell nabs a liner to 3rd for the last out

I only seen one other Reds fan here... Jays suck you won't get the sweep.

Votto homerun, trips paid off lol

Hope you are having a great time in the ballpark, Johnnny..........wish I was there - we could trade snipes about our teams.

Devon retired on a grounder to first
Zeke gets ahead 3 and 1.......gets caught swinging for 3 and 2......and loops one into right for a base hit
Joey up next........ball 1, called strike 1, breaking ball strike 2, ball 2, and he rips one to the outfield as Zeke makes it safely to 3rd
Kendeys at the plate......ball 1, ball 2, hits a long fly ball - Zeke makes it home safely and the Jays are on the board
Smokie at the plate.........ball 1, foul tip, swings through a fast ball - 2 and 1 the count....and is out on a fly ball for the last out of the 1rst inning.

Reds 2 - Jays 1

Top of the 2nd
Schebler 2 and 2......3 and 2 with a couple of foul balls in between....and Mike walks him

BTW, the Jays have given Kevin the day off.......hopefully he can regroup and get back in the hitting groove - no complaints about his defense though

Bolsinger issues his second walk of the inning - Reds now have a man on first and a man on second- get that darn leash ready Gibby

Marco, Fransico, Joey and Marcus are the starters for the Jay's series against the Yankees

Well the defense came through there with a great double-play for 2 away

Now we have another base-stealer at the plate and Peraza hits one that just makes it over the wall for a ground ruled double - Reds up 3 - 1 now

Last Red's batter pops up to second for the last out

Come on Jays................LET'S RISE!!!!!

Russell takes the first pitch and sends it deep for a base hit
Coughlan at the plate......and after going 3 and 1.....he takes a walk as Russell advances to 2nd
Ryan ..........oh shit...........Russell gets picked off at 2nd............meanwhile Ryan is ahead 3 and 0 before Adelman throws a strike....and then he walks him
1 away - 2 on base and Luke comes to the plate........now the Red's pitching coach and catcher are having a wee chat with Adelman - leave him alone he's doing fine by my Jays so far - Luke out on a high fly ball - 2 away
Devon takes ball 1.........called strike, ball 2, foul tip, and gets caught looking for strike 3 stranding two runners on base
3 - 1 end of 2nd for Reds

Cozart goes 3 and 1 and is issued a walk as Joey Votto comes back to the plate.......thankfully he flies out to center for 1 away
Duvall back......and he pops up to Devon for 2 away...........keep it up Mike, let's get out of this with no more damage
And Mike gets the 3rd out on a fly ball to the glove of Joey Bats..........much better inning for Bolsinger

Zeke makes first with nice little single up the middle
Joey flies out to center - 1 away
Kendrys - finally got the spelling right - and hits one to Votto at first - Zeke gets caught between bases and that will end the inning

Mike gets the lead-off batter on strikes - good going Mikey
Two away after Shepherd hits one right to Devon
Wow - Mike gets the last batter on a strike-out..........an even better inning for Bolsinger

Umpire is down. Don't worry you still have another nut...

It was his knee, Johnnny..........and he's back up and ready to go

Jays are retired in order

Bolsinger is working his way back into my good books as he retires the Reds in order

Ryan with the niftiest little bunt that stays fair and he reaches 1rst!
Then Luke Maile comes to the plate, takes the first pitch and sends it into the stands and just like that the Jays have tied the game!!!!

BTW, both JD and Tulo are on rest days, just as Gibby predicted he would do with them

Jays have homered in 18 of 20 games which ties them with Tampa for the most homers in the month

Zeke flies out to right
Joey flies out to center to end the inning but the Jays managed to get 2 back

Mike walks Joey Votto - well at least he didn't let him hit another homer...
Duvall up next .......and he makes base

And that will be it for Mikey as Aaron Luke comes to the mound

Aaron Luke takes care of the last two batters very nicely

A couple of ground outs and the Jays are 2 down
Russell's grounder makes it 3 out as my favorite pitcher Jason Grilli comes to the mound to start the 7th

1 pitch - 1 out for Jason
Peraza makes base on hit back to the mound that bounces away from Jason - he's an nasty little base-stealer too and on a high pitch from Jason, Luke is not fast enough to get the nasty little base-stealer out at 2nd
2 away as the batter flies out to the infield
Yo Jason.................gets the last batter swinging and strands 2 runners on base! Good on you Jake.

Kevin came in as a pinch hitter and is the first out in the bottom of the 7th
Ryan takes a walk to first on 4 balls
Luke comes to the plate gets jammed on the pitch and is out on a fly ball to center
Devon at the plate - his hitting streak came to a halt last night and he's not made base so far in this game - Peralta is the pitcher on the mound for the Reds now - they changed mid-inning

Oh that was soooo pretty........after Peralta spent countless pitches to first trying to get Ryan out - he throws a wild one to the catcher that goes out of play and Ryan walks to first. Devon is having himself at great at bat and is justly rewarded with a 2-run homer that give the Jays the lead.
