It's a price of being in a race. I don't expect other teams to roll over. I expect the Jays to lose a couple such as yesterday. But I don't expect them to make so many errors in one game (I might add that it was only 3 due to home town scoring -- they were not very sharp across the board today). I suspect they got caught looking ahead to the Yankee series (which will happen, they are human). But doesn't make me any more likely to give them any slack.
well you know, none of them really care if any of us give them any slack, no slack, or drool over them.
yes, I agree their defense was loose tonight, not like them, and I don't think they were looking
ahead at all, afterall they lost last night too, all the more reason they wanted to make sure they
won this one, but that pitcher did his thing, a bit of luck with the dribblers, and some unlikely
errors, a good lesson, as it will bring them right back to their usual sharp play, BUT nothing is
written in stone, and nothing goes forever, and the Yankees might sweep them in the next series,
and we all will survive, its just a game, and as buck always says, "great pitching will always
outplay great hitters", and he is right.
they won't forget how to play defense, they'll be back and ready to go.
yes tanaka being out is a big break for the jays.
