Top of the 7th and the Yankees are at bat, the Jays are up 1 - 0. Stroman just issued his first walk, 2 out.

Kevin Pillar is having himself a heck of a night so far. Jays got out of that inning stranding two Yanks on base..........heh, heh, heh. Stroman seems to be either tiring or is just a bit off. Wouldn't be surprised to see Gibbons send Cecil in soon. Stroman's had a great game so far. 5 strikes out for the kid...........oh and I was right .......he' leaving the ball game. Well done Marcus.

Josh just got a 2-base hit to start off the Jays' at bat.

Joey Bats thrown out on single but advances Josh to 3rd. 1 out.

The Yanks are walking Edwin.

Edwin goes to second but Smoak strikes out again. 2 out.

OMG OMG OMG Russel Martin just got a homerun and brought Donaldson and Edwin home with him. Jays up 4 - 0 bottom of 7th. The fans are going absolutely wild. Russel Martins 21rst HR of the season.

Cecil came to the mound for the 8th and retired three Yanks in a row.

Osuna to the mound for the 9th. A-Rod gets a double.

48,056 in attendance at Roger's Centre tonight........it would only have been 48,055 without IRBS. And just think he got to see his Jays take the series 2 - 1 over the mighty ...........well not so much now,,,,,,,heh, heh, heh, Yankees. What a night. What a win. What a team.

Jays retake 3.5 lead over the Yankees...........again! They will have tomorrow off.

Exhausted. What a game. It was electric. It was tense. It was frustrating -- Jays left 9 men on base. But Toronto was clearly the better team. It was fun booing A-Rod (or as my son calls him Roid-rigas).

After watching the series, at home and at the game, I think I can safely say, I hope KC retains top spot. Let them deal with the Yankees in the first round. I think the Yankees are the toughest of the likely playoff teams in the AL.

Got jerseys as well. My son got Batista. I chose Tulowitzki. Chose him because he is locked up with Toronto till 2020 so will get good value for my jersey.

Let's Go Blue Jays...............Let's Go Blue Jays!!!

R.A. is having a tough night early. His pitches are all over the place and he hit a batter. Rays up 2 - 0 top of the 1rst.

Revere just got a three-base hit with no one out.

Jays leave Ben stranded on 3rd bottom of 1rst.

Much better inning for R.A. No runs for the Rays..........yeah.

Kevin Pillar just got his 27th double of the season with two away.

Kevin steals 3rd

Cliff Pennington sends Kevin home and takes second.

Darney strikes out but the Jays come out of the 2nd down 1.

Josh with his 40th homerun of the season ties the game. YOU GO JOSH!

Good thing R.A.'s defense is standing tall.

R.A. gets his first strike out of the game............must mean he was just warming up, eh. :p

Two questions: What does it mean 'to make it rain'........I see signs all over the ball park with that phrase on them. And, one of the announcers mentioned the Jays could secure a wild card spot with a win tonight. What if they, heaven forbid, lost every game after this? Do they still retain their spot?

The teams behind them and the Yankees would be eliminated.

Between Yanks and Jays whoever ends up ahead will win the division and be assured of a 7 game series (I believe 7 game). The other gets the wildcard which is a one game knockout with another team.

Okay, I understand that and you are right it is a 7-game series - I've heard that mentioned a few times tonight.

3 up, 3 down for R.A. You go, Dickie.

JOEY BATS!!!!!!! Yee Haw!

Oh and it's a homerun to give the Jays 3 on the night and a 5- 2 lead in the 7th.

Sox have 4 - 2 lead in the 8th.

Love it when the Jays chase a pitcher off the mound.

The wildcard game is one game only where winner gets the right to play in the 7 game series. A lot more risk of getting knocked out.

So best they win the division then.

Lowe's first pitch - a solo homerun for Rays.

Then he strikes out the next two batters and gets out of the inning with the Jays up by 2.

Sox beating the Yanks so far but missed the score.
