The Liberals are courting the Islamic vote? In truth every party is doing that.
I was to a gathering of Tories this summer when one cabinet minister said
The Conservative Party is the party of immigrants and we need their vote.
Every party is courting every group they can. I think the political right has not
yet grasped the fact the things they say and put in print holds them back
from the mainstream. For example there are a number of people referring
to Trudeau or Mulcair as in league with or terrorists in their own right.
The vast majority don't respond but they walk away with the feeling those
guys on the right are just like the fanatic Republicans down south and the
right loses another vote.
Conservatives fail to understand the country has a different mind set than
what they have to offer. The NDP failed the same insight that is why Trudeau
gained such ground. People are willing to run deficits right now for short
term gain. May not be the best way but it is in the mind of the public and they
want services costs be dammed. The other factor is Harper stayed too long.
and this is a dump Harper campaign no doubt as the second major issue.

How does the Islamic vote turn into the "extremist" vote? These are not the same things - so what exactly is the OP about?
It's pretty stupid to vote 'get rid of Harper' just because he's been our leader for 3 terms. Does it really matter how long he has been in power as opposed to his performance, which has been prudent and effective in keeping Canada stable?
Trudeau's deficits will be unsustainable as the global economy continues to slow our economy down. Interest rates will go up and the temporary' deficit will become a 'permanent' deficit. Eventually we will end up like Greece; bankrupt!
Why don't voters have the intelligence to look at what has happened in other countries that have gone too far into debt and learn from it?
Elections are for voting for something, NOT for voting against something. And they are not popularity contests to get a pretty boy who is brainless in charge of our futures!
