So for me this does bring the question of this year's election to mind.

If Trump wins the election, what are the chances he will change the law and remove the 22nd?

As far fetched as it does seem, could it also be a thing?
yes....it can. It might seem far fetched........but Trump is not going to let go of power all that easily............and we know the lengths he will go to just to get re elected.............when in reality he should be disqualified from running. He would love a situation where he was dear leader for life.............followed by his kids.

The founding fathers set up a superb system.......with a back up plan..........but they did not count ona psychopath being elected..........and they could not predict the mood of a population that allowed this to happen. Everything just progressed from there........with rules being broken and tested to the point one cannot recognize the governing system. or philosophy.

Exactly!!! And that suggests a big problem that has permeated the USG..........the ugly virus of Trump. He is sadistically cruel ........and that is how he has control over them. Isn't that how authoritarian leaders operate?? Control by fear......... and in this case.......fear of character assassination via Twitter. To him they are just pawns to be played with..........and disposed of as he sees fit. Their loyalty is demanded and taken for granted....but he doesn't trust any of them........so they are all disposable. He would rather hurt others than be hurt himself. Very fragile ego. He is just so very wrong for that job.......if the US is to continue as a republic. The only part of the constitution he respects is the part that gives him power.
Are you trying to emulate Spillthebeer with your use of multiple periods ? Is he your alter ego ?

It will be an interesting election, in viewing Twitter tonight just to get a feel of the public response many Republican senators are taking a beating from constituents, so too are some Democratic senators but I'm seeing a little more vitriol aimed at Republicans. With polls as of late stating that 75% of Americans wanted to see evidence/hear from witnesses I'm not surprised to see the push back on social media. Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell are really getting hammered. There is support for them as well, but going on my last look they were taking a beating.

good to hear. Also reassuring that the public is a lot more discerning than it appeared for a while. Graham and McConnell are both hypocrites and have behaved very irresponsibly.. Neither one is remotely likeable. Glad they are getting some blow back. As they should.

And both are up for re-election this year.

With 75% of the public wanting to hear from witnesses and being denied, it has left a bitter taste. I don't think the Republicans appreciate the ammo they just handed to the Democrats for the months to come leading up to the election.

The three lefties who use Twitter in no way reflect public sentiment.
