Seems you are determined to 'split hairs', he was shy by 15,172 votes ………………… that's damn close to telling the truth in my books. IF that's all you have to beat the guy down with you really are a sad person! That's 0.025%, hardly makes the guy a liar. YOU owe HIM an apology!

Shy 15K votes on what, exactly?

63 million votes vs. 66 million votes, that's 3 million votes.

According to the Fox poll, which I was quoting:

50% want Trump impeached and removed

41% not impeached

Even your 538 link reads thus:

As of today - 52.8% of adults disapprove vs. 42.3%, of likely/registered voters, it's 51.7% to 44.5% and of all polls it's 52.2% to 43.5%.

So in what reality are you pulling your thoughts from, because it's not this one.

It's almost 50/50 according to this reliable source:

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/impeachment-polls/

Well thank you for the right poll.

And with that poll, yeah, it's almost a 1% difference.

I think it's loaded as to why people are either supportive or not supportive.

So I'll amend then, since I was partly wrong. JLM said the support vs disapproval of impeachment is fifty-fifty and he's right.

But Trumps approval ratings for popularity not changing are comPLETELY wrong, according to the link he gave.

Your assertion that 63 million votes was a lie and I pointed out he was only 15,172 votes shy. Not too difficult to understand!

Americans locked in partisan stalemate on removing Trump from office, Post-ABC poll finds

Americans remain both deeply divided and locked into their positions over which course lawmakers should pursue.
Weeks of public testimony and days of rancorous committee hearings over the presidents efforts to pressure Ukrainian leaders to investigate a political rival have had no impact on how Americans see the charges pending against the president.

There is noway there can be a fair unbiased "trial "........ as the bias and fix is in.........and THAT conduct on the republican's part will not be viewed kindly via history. But they don't seem to care........ They have decided to be Trumps little ME TOO's at any cost. They are demonstrating that the person is more important than the constitution and the country. It is as if they took their pledge to Trump;as opposed to the constitution and law. That only enables Trump to carry on as he is........and do even worse things. There is no america anymore.........just some weird Trumpian autocracy.

Wait till he starts t rewrite the constitution to fit HIS ideology

Here is the official poll...…………………...https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/, which have seldom varied more than about 3% from an average of about 41%. That better than our Prime Minister can manage. :)

It was reported on the noon news that Trump has written a fairly severe letter to Nancy Pelosi, setting her straight regarding her attempts to derail democracy and more or less showed her where the "bear shit in the buckwheat". I think her power (most powerful lady in American politics) may have gone to her head! Trump just might prevail.

That's not what I said?

I said "You said 63 million people voted for Trump and their vote was trying to be dismissed: that was a lie."

I mean, come on; if you're going to lie about something I said, at least make it so you can't be shown to be someone either trying to stir shyte up or someone who just can't read...

Silly way to put it, but you have the idea. Try getting that through PGS' thick noggin, though.
(It's more like criminal issues normally have large effects on one or a few individuals while political issues can affect entire countries. Banal? Not so much.
Yes a political issue , perpetrated by democrats for the sole reason that they don’t like President Donald Trump . They have zero bipartisan support and not a hope in hell of passing the Senate . The whole purpose of this charade is to appease the far left Representatives in the Democrat caucus . Fact is the Dems hate any President with an R after their name .

Any way if this is just politics expect impeachment becoming the norm whenever the House is controlled by a different party from the sitting President . Won’t you just love seeing the first female President impeached on spurious grounds ?

Trump excoriates Pelosi and Democrats in letter to House speaker, says impeachment is declaring open war on American Democracy

In a six-page letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), President Trump said the abuse of power accusations were baseless while dismissing the so-called obstruction of Congress.

The letter came on the eve of the House impeachment vote.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...l_news__alert-politics--alert-national&wpmk=1

this letter is evidence of his mental state.........and show he is totally unhinged. NOT FIT FOR OFFICE. Heck.....his WORDS and TWEETS indicate the same.......and have all along. This sick stream of consciousnesses letter will go down in history. People are becoming lot more psychologically aware...........and people in the future will wonder how this mental case was even elected.......let alone allowed to get away with as much as he does. We don't have to wait for the futre to see that there is a big problem in the oval office. and he is called Trump

I don't think there's much to wonder about.

Obama destroyed their beliefs about America and they now want to burn it down.
