Employment. Big deal. There's lots more to a country than employment. And America's infrastructure is in ruins along with its education system, its healthcare, the FDA, nat'l debt, the deficit, crime rate has gone up the past couple years, etc.

There is, BUT employment is the driving force...……….remove it and see what's left! :)

Haha . I have been commenting on these boards long before you came along . And in retrospect it seems you are actually following me around .
Anyhow your TDS is a joy to behold .
By the way , who are you , again ?

So you posting here longer than some others means you are more important? Oh okay then. So common sense would dictate that since I am so beneath your standards because I am new to this forum, you wouldn't engage with me at all? Why continue engaging with me? Why do you even care what I have to say? I care what you have to say, if you actually said something other than insults. You following me or me following you, see it as you like to, it's all good. Happy to bring you joy, and I know who I am so I'm all set.

The same independents that voted for Trump and his message, voted for Obama and hope and change . If Obama provided change or hope Hillary would be President . Blame the democrats for Trump .

That's an interesting point, a different way of looking at what put Trump in office. And considering who is currently running in the Democratic race, I don't believe there is a standout who can defeat Trump, so yep the Dems are partly to blame for Trump. I can agree with that. I compare it to OJ, some say he got off on murder charges because his defense team was so great, whereas I see it more as the prosecuting team was just so awful.

In the world of politics 42% is considerable. Majority Gov'ts have been formed with 38 - 39%. And that 42 has been pretty much consistent right from the get go in January 2017.
Approval ratings are different than popularity ratings. Most of America's voters disapprove of Trump regardless of his popularity.

Employment is a driving force of the economy. So? If your health sucks and you go bankrupt because of it, your bridges are collapsing, your kids aren't being educated decently, your income is being wasted servicing a massive debt, your country can't afford laces for its shoes, the rest of the planet doesn't trust or like you, etc.............
But yay economy.

If the employment is good you can kick start a lot of the other stuff!

Actually consumer spending is the driving force, and yes employment translates to more spending but that depends on how much disposable income one has. And if prices increase because of things like oh, trade wars, then people have less disposable income. So employment numbers can be high but that doesn't always mean spending is.

Oh it has been from some Trump supporters, not all but some. I am beginning to see that there are a number of posters here (a very small number thankfully) who post simply to instigate. Who when they have nothing to contribute to the conversation fall back on insults and aggression. But I have been on a few message boards in my day and it's par for the course. I could ignore but that's not me, whether they're on ignore or not it makes no difference because I don't much concern myself with what they have to say. I will try to encourage debate with them though, to try to find a common ground. Sometimes it works out that way, other times it doesn't. C'est la vie.
indeed it is what it is

Yeah, well when your income stops, see how much spending you'll be doing! Sorry to piss on your parade. :)

No problem, you just recategorize your "needs" and "wants".
