So they are banning TicToc because of alleged ownership or control by the Chinese government and now everybody is going to the alternative that is actually owned and run by the Chinese government. Gotta love how governments think.

I look at this from the outside, looking in. I’ve never used TikTok. I’ve never used Snapchat. I’ve never used messenger, etc…& I go on Facebook about three times per year…which is more than enough for me.

That’s sure what it sounds like, but I really haven’t looked at this too closely. I hear of younger people and the chronically idiotic state that they get their news from TikTok. I think I’m gonna continue to do what I do.

What the fuck are you on about? The law is in place. It only needs the President to execute it.

Pertaing to banning TikTak? How long has it been around? Why is an executive responsibility?

Article II, Section 3 of the United States Constitution outlines the President's responsibilities. These responsibilities include:

  • Convening Congress: The President has the power to call both the Senate and the House of Representatives into session.
  • Receiving foreign representatives: The President is responsible for welcoming foreign representatives.
  • Commissioning federal officers: The President has the power to appoint federal officers.
  • Informing Congress: The President is required to inform Congress about the state of the union. This has been done in the form of a speech since 1913.
  • Recommending measures: The President is required to recommend measures that they believe are "necessary and expedient".
  • Enforcing laws: The President is responsible for obeying and enforcing all laws.

I guess if it is still offline in UASS, then you might be wrong. If China is not allowing it to be allowed in the states, in an effort to kick old Donnie in the nots, then they have scored a point, that he is not as powerful as he thinks he is. Who is the smart one?

GOSHEN, Ind. — An Indiana man accused of using TikTok to urge attacks on the government and death to President Donald Trump has been arrested, the FBI said.


Douglas Thrams, 23, of Goshen, made a series of threats in videos posted to the social media site this week, authorities said.

Thrams was in custody awaiting an appearance Monday in federal court in South Bend. He does not have an attorney yet who could respond to the charge of using interstate commerce to make threats.

In one TikTok video, Thrams said Trump needed to be killed “and this time don’t … miss,” FBI agent Taylor Pletz said in a court filing. It was an apparent reference to an assassination attempt last July in Pennsylvania.

“In all videos, he is visible, audible and identifiable,” Pletz said of Thrams.

TikTok was supposed to be banned in the U.S., effective last Sunday. But Trump paused it for 75 days to allow his new administration to assess national security concerns and seek a potential American buyer for the popular digital platform.
