So, Bad Boys Ride or Die did $100 million box office on its opening weekend. Which seems odd considering all the whining from woketards in the movie/streaming industry about how their shitty productions are being "attacked" and "ratioed" by racists. Can't be the "racists", they sure seemed to like the latest Bad Boys installment. And why wouldn't they, it's a proper movie. Fun practical effects, decent script, entertaining actors with great screen chemistry, no messaging for "modern audiences", no over-reliance on CGI. A movie made by people who understand why people go to the movies. Yeah, it's not likely to be the movie of the year but it's fun entertainment and that's all the audience wants.

Perfect example of someone who doesn't get the issues.

Great job, Jinny! Keep up the good work!

There is no racism. Just whimpering woketards and non-White people who deserve what's coming to them.

LOL. That's exactly the issue. Whiny, talentless fucks blaming "racism" and "sexism" for their talentless hackery. Just because you can check off some diversity boxes or regurgitate "woke" dogma by rote doesn't automatically impart the talent upon you to make a big budget movie/streaming show.

Well, the other issue is most big budget movies/streaming shows lately have no real story or character arcs. Just a bunch of whizz-bang CGI and green-screen acting with poorly written characters that are just planks of wood who could be played by literally anyone.

If you really wanna see what the issues are, watch Godzilla Minus One. What TOHO made for $15 million completely outclasses 90% of the Hollyweird crap over the last 6 years or so now. It's not even really a Godzilla movie so much as an action/drama set in post-war Japan and Godzilla makes a few guest appearances. I love a good (bad) Kaiju movie because they're usually just big, dumb fun. But this is the first movie since the original Gojira where I was rooting for the human characters because they felt authentic and weren't just there for expositional dialogue and moving the plot along. It's a story of personal shame and dishonour followed by redemption. A well written, well directed and well-acted story.

But then Japan doesn't have a bunch of "woke" leeches like we do who simply want to re-write/re-create anything in Western culture that was even remotely popular that they consider to be "problematic", whatever the fuck they mean by that. And yeah, we BOTH know what they mean by that, don't we. Either that or they really are whiny, talentless fucks desperate to attach their names to someone else's popular creation.

Disney has got to be one of the worst though. They used to be creators. Now they're acquirers of other people's IPs which they proceed to flog the shit out of with steaming turd after steaming turd as they desperately try to squeeze every last dollar out of them they can. All while putting people in charge of projects who have no business running a $200+ million production.

Again, not really getting the issues.

I agree Godzilla Minus One is an amazing movie and what's made in Hollywood now, meh, not so much.

Has NOTHING to do with "wokeness" though.

But you're the boy who cried wolf/chicken little to scream about everything so much it means nothing now, even if it might be legit.

Again, keep it up, Jinny! You might be right one day!

Ah, c'mon. Admit it. You don't mind whining, you just mind when the whiners ain't White.

You're perfectly OK with Chuck Connors playing Geronimo, but you'd bust a blood vessel if somebody wanted to do a Star Trek re-boot with Michael B. Jordan as Kirk.

I wrote a screenplay for a movie once.

It was set during the War. Sargeant Jack Baker recruits 12 pastry chefs to join and fight in his platoon. The working title of my script?

"Baker's Dozen"

(Ahem. I'll show myself out now) ;)
