Oregon man carries mother’s severed head into a grocery, stabs a clerk, police say

By Derek Hawkins May 16 at 4:51 AM

It had been a quiet Mother’s Day afternoon at the Harvest Market Thriftway in Estacada, Ore., until Joshua Lee Webb barged into the neighborhood grocery store, covered in blood, according to police.
In one hand, the 36-year-old man held a kitchen knife, police said.
In the other, they said, he held a severed human head.
As terrified customers ran out of the store and called 911, Webb charged a storeclerk, stabbing him multiple times, police said. Store employees quickly wrestled the knife away from him and pinned him down until police arrived.

Around the same time, police responded to a 911 call in the nearby town of Colton, Ore. A woman lay dead inside her home, the caller told police.
It didn’t take long for investigators to link the two reports. The dead woman was Webb’s mother. The severed head in his hand was hers, police said.
After investigations by multiple law enforcement agencies, Webb on Monday was charged with the murder of his mother, 59-year-old Tina Marie Webb, and the attempted murder of the clerk, 66-year-old Michael Wagner.
Webbwas booked into the Clackamas County Jail, where he remained as of Tuesday morning. It was not clear if he had been assigned an attorney.
Wagner was admitted to the hospital and was expected to recover, local media reported.

Police said Webb lived with his parents in Colton, a rural community about 40 miles south of Portland. At some point on Sunday afternoon, he killed his mother, police said, without providing further details.

And not one peep of outrage or condemnation from leaders of the white community.

Just speculating on the possible situation(s) that led to this crime.

I'll wager that someone will come forward and say he was a good boy, excellent student, volunteered at the local Lion's Club and what not

Nope, just engaging in whataboutery. Tired old diversion tactic. But it probably worked for your audience.

How much and US or Canadian?

Quite the opposite, in fact.

Understanding the possible triggers related to this crime can assist in preventing future similar events.

PS - Love the expression whataboutery

How much and US or Canadian?

This might make for an excellent arbitrage opportunity.

... Perhaps we consider engineering a scenario that involves CAD, USD and Euros.

It's from Northern Ireland, and specifically refers to the reliable reaction of conservatives (called "Unionists" or "Loyalists" there) to any mention of Loyalist violence, "What about the IRA?"

Technically, it's a tu quoque fallacy. Classic tactic when somebody asks you to account for your double standard.

You mean the same double standard that does't have lefties screaming that "this poor guy must be a drug addict or mentally ill"?

Well here, just to make you feel all better about it, this was a horrendously evil act and I hope that Oregon has the death penalty. That's all he deserves.

Besides, don't you know that our PM has instituted new values for Canadians? Yeah, we're supposed to be accepting and tolerant of terrorists and violent criminals so by that standard, I really can't say anything more about the incident you posted without potentially running afoul of this great, new Canadian value.

Perfect. Rather than addressing the subject, attack the lefties. Classic tu quoque. You've got the skill down pat.
Especially when YOU choose to ignore the second paragraph/sentence of the post, right? I know I know, that's how lawyers like to operate but this ain't no court and that bullsh*t don't fly here. Nice try though.

Oh, by the way. I didn't jump up and down yelling about those damn furriners when that Chinese dude beheaded some poor guy on a Greyhound bus. I guess my double standard is showing there too. Yeah, f*ck off with your stupid game.

You've never heard of the principle of rhetoric "Put you most important point first?"

You start with a fallacy, I'm disinclined to read further, presuming that you'll just follow with more fallacies.

Your second paragraph didn't address the question, unless you are fool enough to consider yourself a leader of the white community.

Your third was half red herring, half tu quoque fallacy (again). When you lead with a fallacy and conclude with a fallacy, it's a mite hard to take you seriously.

Was he looking for spices or the best method to prepare and cook the meat? Was he hoping to speak with the butcher? Based on my experience with chicken wings, human hands would fall into the same category. Not a lot of meat and you have to eat around the bone. Deep fried or oven roasted?

Why only one hand? Why not both? Or was she missing a hand? That would make her a utility grade mother.

So many questions!

Wait, you said head. Different process. Thinking about pig's brains now. Render for head cheese?

funny that we recognize that he MUST have a mental illness, but when someone lights their daughter or wife on fire or cuts off their pleasure centre we call it cultural / religious practice.
