did you know tarantula have 'hair' spears? They can shoot 'hairs' at you, that will embed in your skin and itch like hell?

My ex had that ability.

Sorry people but my dislike of spiders (snakes too for that matter) is primal: all they are is something that would eat me if it could with no feeling. I recognize their role but I am not going to want to cuddle the damned things, or let them in my house.

it's certainly furry enough....the 10 eyes are off putting though hard to snuggle with something that is staring at you from every direction

The Goliath birdeater has eight eyes, like most spiders. Some species have six eyes or fewer, but I don't think there are any with more than eight.
