Not sure if "booming" is quite the word. A lot of crop failures in the U.S. and the weather has definitely taken a bigger toll.

The jobs added in my area of residence have been with minimal (if any) benefits and most are at minimum wage levels. The financial health we enjoyed in the late '90's and early 2000's won't be seen in our life time is my guess.

I remember seeing a sign when my I was with my dad driving on Apache BLVD in Tempe heading into Phoenix . The sign said Welcome to Phoenix Population 120,000. That was along time ago. I don't know what my home town is now maybe 4 million a little less.
