Trump’s premise that Canada has shut out American producers is also disputed. U.S. producers exported about $1.31 billion in milk, cheese, butter and other dairy products to Canada in 2025, while the U.S. bought about $432 million worth of Canadian dairy, according to Agriculture Department data — a surplus of roughly $880 million in the U.S.’ favor.
The good times keep coming…

Well, US Texas Micky’s are now 3 L, but in ounces…but in days gone by (shrinkflation) they used to be 4 L & a bit…& that’s the one size that’s got an exemption by the US from Canada for booze?🤔 keeps getting weirder.

Canadian auto parts are now hit with 25% + 50% stacked tariffs to go into vehicles that might have their final assembly done in the US.

U.S. President Donald Trump on ‌Friday said that unless the Federal Reserve cut interest rates, he would stop trading (?) with countries with which the United States had a deficit? "We should have the LOWEST RATE of any country in the World ... LOWER THE RATE OR I’LL STOP TRADING (?) WITH COUNTRIES WITH WHICH WE HAVE A DEFICIT," Trump said in a Truth Social post.
Does his trumpship realize that almost all of those counties have gold in the US reserve bank? There most likely is not enough physical gold in the Federal REserve to cover everything that is owed by the US.
This means the US would be forced to default, and the US $$$ would no longer be the world reserve currency.

This I learned from a book called Broken Money. It starts with the history exchange, moving on to pay and into a fairly clear story of how the international money system works. The secon half of the book get into theoretical new plans. I ner read this part. The guy that loaned me the book said it wasn't relevant to today.

There’s absolutely is not, but it’s much more than Canada’s reserve, which is zero. Canada is the fourth largest gold producer in the world, but accounts for about 6% of an annual gold production. America has a little over $1 trillion in gold in their reserve. Canada is the only G7 nation not to hold gold.

My Liberal friends? Global currencies are no longer tied to the price of gold. Canada owned 1,023 tonnes of gold in 1965, but holds zero official gold reserves because the government sold all its physical bullion between the 1960s and 2016. Your Liberal friends seem to have sold it off.😉

The catch is that other sovereign nations "own" more gold in the US reserve than is physically in the vault.

Speculation has it gold backed currencies are about to come back.

I watch the currency, crypto, bond, metal markets closely and the mining/mineral industry as a whole.

The science behind alchemy never went away and it now has AI in its corner.

Soon the raw materials to make precious metals will be the hot ticket.
