Russia has sent missile systems to Syria: air force head

Russia has sent missile systems to Syria to protect its military forces there, the head of Russia's air force said on Thursday.
Colonel General Viktor Bondarev said fighter jets could be hijacked in countries neighboring Syria and used to attack Russian forces.

That's a nice cover story, but the missiles are being sent in response to the US deployment of F-15C air superiority fighters to the Turkish border with Syria.
Which raises the question... do the Russians have any idea of what they are doing?

Since you obviously don't know what you are doing, I wonder who wrote the question for you?
And since it's a silly question givin the capabilities of Russian military resources I can't see how you are not paid to make these foolish posts FOOL. The widespread question of your sanity may present grounds for your eventual incarceration in some institution.

I can't help but wonder what these F15-C pilots are thinking right now, them being fully aware of Russian capabilities associated with Russian equipments. I sincerely hope cooler minds take over this debacle before it unfolds beyond control. Many people did not believe this very war was possible and as many more knew for certain it could not be avoided. Both sides are a party to helplessness now. We could not be closer to armageddon than we now are. I'm so disappointed I may pray.

It is quite likely that Neolithic Syria is the birthplace of agriculture as well as being the origin of domestication and raising of cattle. Nifty, huh? The first cowboys were Syrians, not folks like John "Da Dook" Wayne and Squint Eastwood. They probably did not wear bowlers either. lol

There you go, bet you all did not know that about Syria, right?

You are obviously salty and the harsh truth is sinking in.

The F-15 pilots are probably feeling pretty safe that it is a Russian AA System and not any NATO AA platform. If anyone should be afraid it should be people on the ground around the AA sites.

Did the Syrian Cowboys wear bowler hats too?

Leaving aside the banter we both enjoy I am feeling very bad for these F-15 pilots. I know if it were me I'd be thinking of my future and my chances as I'm damn sure they are. It is a difficult job they might have to carry out and not against Iraqis or Lybian second rate equipment so this may become a test of thier rides thier resolve and thier skill. I don't envy them nor anyone else who has to engage in combat. Especially an illegal unsanctioned war crime situation where they would be subject to numerous charges. Of course that situation has not stopped American arrogance and disregard for international law before so why now, right. Do you ever get serious? Or does it hurt too much somewhere in you?

If the Russian AA Platforms work like their cruise missiles... being in the air is probably the safest place for the F-15 pilots.

We must thank the US for showing the proper way to decimate a hospital

MSF Statement Tells Gruesome Details of Kunduz Hospital Attack (PHOTOS)
"Patients burned in their beds, medical staff were decapitated and lost limbs, and others were shot by the circling AC-130 gunship while fleeing the burning building. At least 30 MSF staff and patients were killed," the statement said.
According to the MSF report, at the time of the attack the hospital had 105 patients inside. The hospital was in full control of MSF staff and acted in accordance with the organization's rules, including the "no weapons" policy. There were no armed combatants or fighting going on in or near the hospital. By any stretch of the imagination, the hospital was not a "Taliban base," as some US officials claimed after the incident.

US Planes Shot Doctors Fleeing Kunduz Hospital

British PM Hints at 'Likely' Bomb On Board A321, But Offers No Proof
Russia Shocked UK Didn't Share Intel on Bomb on the Plane
Why would the UK and the US be promoting a bomb before the test results are in? (rumor only as they again make determinations without any proof) Meanwhile back at the ranch Russia is pounding the Syrian rebels into dust, literally. Sooner or later a mass surrender will take place and that will be the base for who comes up on war crimes as they will all singing like canaries in a coal-mine to get amnesty from execution.

The cruise missiles probably popped a few US drones while they were headed for their targets in Syria. You should change you handle to 'The Rumor Mill' as you lack substance.

Have the Iranians finished cleaning up after the Russian Cruise Missile strike?

How will Putin explain this to his people. Intervention has its cost.

You just cornered yourself.

Anyhow... back to Syria...

Doesn't seem confirmed.

Jund Al Aqsa boasted of victory on its Twitter account, but a Syrian security source denied any major setback.
“There are clashes around Morek and there is some infiltration, but the fighting is ongoing and we are dealing with the situation,” he said.
Morek has changed hands several times in Syria’s four-year civil war. Government troops last retook it in October 2014.

No one said anyone had anything under control, I'm saying by your own article what you're trying to propagate isn't confirmed.

Your references are getting more bizarre every post.

Share intel with facebook and the vestern media but withhold it from Russia. Not likely, sad that Putin didn't take the bait is more like it. lol

It will exit Syria through NATO.

Legendary US Army Commander Says Russia Would "Annihilate" US In Head-To-Head Battle

To be sure, the fact that this is even under consideration is somewhat surreal. Sure, no one took Hillary Clinton serioulsy when she presented Sergei Lavrov with the now infamous "reset" button (which actually didn't say "reset" because thanks to a "typo" the prop said “peregruzka” which means “overcharged"), but with a Nobel Peace Price-winning President in The White House, no one expected things to deterirotate to the point that NATO was seriously contemplating a war with the Russians.

According to retired Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor, American forces would get "annihilated." Here's more, via Politico:
