That's bullsh*t, Canada is much better off if the U.S. can control the planet or at least have other countries believe they control the planet.

Now that is bullsh*t JLM. We are better off if we control the planet or at least control our own country which Harper is in the process of giving to the US through GATT, SPP, anti-terrorism agreements and a myriad of other programs and legislation. Face facts, America is like the retarded 15 year-old in the sandbox with a bunch of 8 year-olds....using strength to bully everyone, get their way and have all the toys while not having a clue as to why nobody likes them or wants to play with them.

9/11 was not in any direct correlation to an attack on a specific Arab nation.

So you don't think their 'bull in a china shop' foreign policy regarding the ME combined with their blind, overzealous support of Israel and their refusal to remove temporary bases from Islamic holy lands is provocation.

Of course the best situation would be if Canada controlled the planet, but living in the real world that won't happen in our life time. So second best thing is to have the controller of the planet in close proximity. On the world scene the U.S. is pretty highly regarded, with the possible exception of a few radical third world countries.

Here's the score.
Assad murders almost 100000 over the course of two years with bullets and bombs and no one bats an eye. Fifteen hundred are killed with chemical agent and it becomes a world threat. I guess Obama can officially say he is in the George W Bush camp now as he marches unilaterally into war with Syria.

I said it years ago, Obama is a darker shade of Bush. Same advisers and support staff. Nothing has changed except the face. He is nothing more than a puppet of the military/industrial complex, just like every other president since WWII. Kennedy tried to buck the system and he got bumped off.

WTF have you been smoking? Other than a few radicals and starving tribes in Africa the US is a laughing stock. They are broke beyond repair, can't win a war against nations with 1/100th of their military power and have a picture of the country next to 'arrogant pricks' in the dictionary. Do some underdeveloped populations wish for their standard of living? You bet! Do those same people wish they were actually American? Not on your life!

Ain't that the truth Cliffy. It is the people who aren't elected who run the show. The generals and bureaucrats who don't change every 4 years wield the real power, the elected are just a dog & pony show for the public to give the illusion we have some say in anything.

Do you have proof that the Syrian regime used the Chemical Gases on it's people, or are you just taking the word of the Obama Government who has continually lied or have been wrong with their US Intelligence.

U.S. Intelligence on Sarin…With a Grain of Salt | TIME.com

The U.S. intelligence community believes “with some degree of varying confidence” that Syrian dictator Bashar Assad’s forces have used chemical weapons, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Thursday.

“Some degree of varying confidence” is a loophole big enough to fly a cruise missile through.

“Is he a little bit pregnant or not?” asks retired Marine general Anthony Zinni, who ran U.S. operations in that part of the world from 1997 to 2000. “The trouble with statements like that is you can get drawn in to military operations.”

Wow, Tecumsehsbones so are are a really a blood thirsty war mongering closet Republican..

Hardly. The Assad 'kingship' has been murdering its citizens for decades

In the 1980's Hafez Assad, the old man, leveled the City of Hama with heavy artillery, killing between 10-40,000 'citizens'.

According to Syrian media, anti-government rebels initiated the fighting, who "pounced on our comrades while sleeping in their homes and killed whomever they could kill of women and children, mutilating the bodies of the martyrs in the streets, driven, like mad dogs, by their black hatred." Security forces then "rose to confront these crimes" and "taught the murderers a lesson that has snuffed out their breath".[10] ( wiki)

Yeah. real angels.

Tecumseh is one of the great heroes of the war of 1812 and the on line Shawnee Prophet meant 'Prince'- but he has to translate in his head form Injun lingo...
But the Thread topic is 'who won the war of 1812?
Don't distract us...

There were no American heroes in the War of 1812. The Americans were the bad guys.

And just remember that the British were on Canada's side during that war. The Americans were your enemies. The Americans invaded Canada and the British kicked them out.

Did Kennedy get bumped off for bucking the system or because he was getting too "chummy" with the wrong people and some people were getting scared?

Tecumseh's Confederacy allied with those in the Canadas fighting the Americans in the War of 1812. Tecumseh was a hero.

Did that in Iraq, I have spoken to many refugees in Canada that has clearly said that under Saddam, Christians didn't have a problem, since the USA moved into Iraq was worse.

Just like that video says, the US Gold standard was proven a fraud after France requested it's gold back from the US and Nixon said no.

Then the US became the main currency for oil through Saudi Arabia and it became a petro dollar.. now the US has to screw up the Middle East to keep their puppets in power..

Iran is the biggest danger because that wants to remove the US dollar as the Oil Trading Dollar, that would tank the US Dollar..
