Re: "The U.S. Should Act"

The only military action US forces should take would be to nuke New York City and Washington, DC. Bad people live in those locations.

Why is it that Canadians do not fear America the way Poles fear Russia or Vietnamese fear China?

We supply them with 38% of their oil. Also 42% of their weed.

Who says we don't?

What are they going to do us?

Just saw Obama on the Global news, he's talking a good game but I get the impression he might be getting cold feet, wants to pass the decision on to Congress.

At tgis point he can't admit that they have bad intel. It is quite doubtful congress will approve, so he gets to save face on a bad decision.

Re: "The U.S. Should Act"

So true.

Up to just a short while ago the right wingers were all gung-ho about war and foreign intervention. Now they have become a bunch of p.u.s.s.i.e.s ... oops, pacifists all of a sudden. So good of them to finally see the light.

A significant percentage of right wingers learned from their mistakes, and don't support a repeat of those mistakes by Obama. They have been redeemed by hard experience.

Leftists had the right answer on Iraq, but are blindly following Messiah Obama now as he plans the murder of innocent civilians in Syria. The leftists are the hypocrites.

That's about the stupidest statement I've seen on here since the last time you posted!

You reveal yourself by your comments. You should have been born American.

Who says we don't?

Even you don't fear Americans.

Quite a large number of people are ashamed they fell for the crap last time but instead of accepting their shame they blame Obama.

Knew the next scam artist comes along who will they blame?

Those aren't Canadian resources. Those natural resources are the common heritage of humanity and belong to everyone.

What are they going to do us?

Listen up...you guys are Canadians. You have a national character. You folks like to avoid trouble. You want things to be nice and quiet.

All Americans need to do is to speak softly and tell you it is in your best interests if you watch quietly as we eat your lunches and screw your women. That pattern has worked since 1945.

Quite a large number of people are ashamed they fell for the crap last time but instead of accepting their shame they blame Obama.

Knew the next scam artist comes along who will they blame?

How do you explain the fact that Obama was right about Iraq, but wrong about Libya, Afghanistan and Syria? Talk about falling for his own crap!

The Damascus Deception: Video of Chemical Attack Posted the Day Before "Massacre"

The Damascus Deception: Video of Chemical Attack Posted the Day Before "Massacre"

"The Islamic politics and cultural website Islamic Invitation Turkey claims that several videos were uploaded one day before the reports on chemical weapons use near Damascus in Syria. This evidence shows that the terrorists massacred people then recorded the scenes to deceive the world, but they gave themselves away. Terrorists in Syria uploaded the video of their crimes in East Ghouta, Damascus on August 20, 2013 and then blamed the Syrian government for the attack early on August 21, 2013, says the IIT website.

This evidence supposedly shows the massacre by terrorists in Syria and their struggle to convince the public that the Syrian regime is behind the massacre. You will see that the terrorists uploaded the videos before the massacre and their so-called allegation of the time when the chemical weapons attack by the Syrian Army occurred."

Re: British Parliament votes against British military involvement in Syria

That's smart of the Brits to sit this one out.

Time for Congress to demand the same.

Whatever the result would have been, we should be celebrating democracy.

Now if the U.S. follows suit, we'll begin to set a precedent on how to respond to these situations.

I posted a similar article with the same Aug 20th evidence days ago Gopher even though posting it again is a good thing it doesn't matter when spilled blood of the innocents is what they want because they are afraid of the boogieman on TV.

Re: British Parliament votes against British military involvement in Syria

I'm sure the NSA wasn't used just to violate American privacy. The US probably has ample evidence. Moving beyond that it will be interesting to see if Congress supports a response and if so to what extent. There's an opportunity here for the American government to actually work together, which might be half of the purpose.

In 2003 Congress voted to give the President the power to enact war, if needed. Many argued later that it wasn't needed. In this case it won't be a 'if needed' basis, it will either be yes to strike or no to not. Everyone will own the decision and consequences.

If the rebels are al Qaeda, shouldn't they be the target?

Canada, on the other hand, usually sits on its hands and does nothing whilst these awful abuses happen. That's nothing to be proud of.

-we will remember that the next time continental Europe knocks on your front door....

-we were part of the "crew" when we went to Afghanistan... Look what that got us, a bunch of dead people protecting some aristocrats who were just as much the enemy as the Taliban were.... Syria will be no different, as someone said, Al-Queda needs air support

There are so many factions who knows who the rebels are. Could be a mixed bag.

Yes, we often take democracy for granted. Even though the Brits voted against it we can at least celebrate that a government works.

Who cares if a few faeries, leprechauns or unicorns get killed when you are after the boogieman as long as you get the boogieman?

I think there might be a little dislike of Putin by Obama that's creeping in here. An opportunity for BO to flip a symbolic bird at Putin by blowing the sh!t out of Russian stuff.
