Pentagon Admits Coalition Strike May Have Killed Iraqi Soldiers
UN Security Council Unanimously Agrees Blueprint to Stop Syrian Civil War
The resolution includes preparations for a ceasefire monitoring mechanism that would come into effect "as soon as the representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition have begun initial steps towards a political transition under UN auspices," according to Reuters.
Talks with the Syrian opposition are set to begin in early January, and the draft "demands that all parties immediately cease any attacks against civilians and civilian objects," and "stresses that the Syrian people will decide the future of Syria."
The resolution sets a target of six months for the government transition, while elections are planned to be held within 18 months.
It "reconfirms its endorsement of the Geneva Communiqué of 30 June 2012, endorses the 'Vienna Statements' in pursuit of the full implementation of the Geneva Communiqué, as the basis for a Syrian-led and Syrian-owned political transition in order to end the conflict in Syria, and stresses that the Syrian people will decide the future of Syria."
The document also expresses support "for a Syrian-led political process that is facilitated by the United Nations and, within a target of six months, establishes credible, inclusive and non-sectarian governance and sets a schedule and process for drafting a new constitution, and further expresses its support for free and fair elections, pursuant to the new constitution, to be held within 18 months and administered under supervision of the United Nations."

TEHRAN (FNA)- This just in: After four years of violence and terrorism, Secretary of State John Kerry says “the United States and its partners are not seeking regime change in Syria!”
The declaration is not only bizarre, in that many of America’s rogue partners in Syria are terrorist groups formed explicitly to oust the government, but because Kerry himself, as well as other US officials, have been openly demanding unconditional regime change for several years now. After all, that was the whole idea when they decided to bankroll ISIL and Al-Qaeda, attack Syria, reduce it to a failed state, and create over 10 million refugees.

So despite Kerry’s beautiful words, there is no reason to believe he is building bridges to Syria, let alone shutting down the terrorist groups’ social media and bank accounts, arresting their oil exports to Europe, and halting the flow of weapons to Iraq and Syria:

* The suspicious and ineffective airstrikes in Syria have shown that far from seeking a political solution, the United States seeks to instigate regime change in Damascus. Unwilling to dial it down a notch and stop the slippery slope of bankrolling Daesh and other “moderate” death cults, US policymakers have instead doubled down on military aid to foreign jihadists. Now this strategy is failing and Kerry’s shocking declaration suggests that.

* Contrary to what one might expect, US military in West Asia doesn’t produce effective security and peace. Instead, it polarizes the region, incentivizes bad behaviour on the part of rogue partners, and drives the sources of terrorism: Corruption, violence, sectarianism and poor governance.

* The logic of military aid — or trade and security assistance – to terrorist groups is twofold: US military equipment, training and support will build strategic relationships with terrorists and empower them to fight sovereign nations on their behalf. On the other hand, they will destabilise the region and offer further excuse for permanent presence of US military forces.

* In practice, this logic has led to explosive growth of military aid to Daesh (ISIL/ISIS), AL-Qaeda and other terrorist cults since 2012. Rather than creating “cooperative” terrorist partners, US military aid has produced reverse leverage: The more aid given to a terror outfit, the less likely it is to do what the US wants. For example, Daesh was – and still is – bankrolled by the War Party and its minions, but still went ahead and attacked Paris, all while threatening Washington.

* US military aid is also a tap rogue partners like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE and Israel don’t want to turn off. The longer they’re staying in America’s bogus anti-terror coalition, the more security and military assistance they get. There’s no reason for them to actually defeat terrorists, because if they did, the weapons and the cash would go away. Instead, they perpetuate terrorism and maintain an everlasting instability, wherein nobody wins and everybody loses.

I notice nobody ****ed with their supersonic bombers and I'll bet the UK was extra nervous as they went both ways. lol There seems to be a lot more cargo capacity than I thought there would be. I don't see any subs listed either so I doubt this is a top secret document that just fluttered out some windowless office on a gust of wind.

There are enough airports to bring in the people, their tools is another matter as drone pilots could stay in Russia.

All participants dropping bombs are killing civilians which is why we are ending up with refugees trying to get out of the way.

The Americans have to get troops on the ground and clean up the mess they started in 2003......

The American airstrike that may have killed a number of Iraqi soldiers on Friday seems to be "a mistake that involved both sides," U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter said Saturday. He called Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to express condolences.

Asked if he was worried the deaths might further anger Iraqi citizens who may not be happy with the American and coalition presence in Iraq, Carter said, "I hope Iraqis will understand that this is a reflection of things that happen in combat. But it's also a reflection of how closely we are working with the government" of Iraq.

When asked how many Iraqis may have been killed, the U.S. military command known as Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve said, "The coalition is investigating the incident and will make further details available when appropriate."

lol Worth a 2nd post.
Assad 'Thanks' West for 'Allowing' Him to Lead His Own Country

You aren't bragging up Israel bombing Damascus, is your post the reason why???
https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...ccddc0-b4c4-11e2-9fb1-62de9581c946_story.html

BEIRUT — Israeli warplanes bombed the outskirts of Damascus early Sunday for the second time in recent days, according to Syrian state media and reports from activists, signaling a sharp escalation in tensions between the neighboring countries that had already been exacerbated by the conflict raging in Syria.
Videos posted on the Internet by activists showed a huge fireball erupting on Mount Qassioun, a landmark hill overlooking the capital on which the Syrian government has deployed much of the firepower it is using against rebel-controlled areas surrounding the city.
The official Syrian Arab News Agency said that a scientific research facility had been struck by an Israeli missile, and a banner displayed on state television said the attack was intended to relieve pressure on rebel forces in the embattled eastern suburbs. The banner was accompanied by martial music and footage of Syrian soldiers marching, descending from helicopters and firing rockets, indicating that Syria may not shrug off the assault, as it has with some Israeli strikes in the past.

Maybe the Canadians need to get boots on the ground and clean up the mess they started in 2011.

We could hire Greece and Italy as our proxy army as ISIS is ready to drop their weapons as soon as they land there. I'm sure the Mafia would be interested in some long term prospects when Canada is on the ICC defendants list so being the boots on the ground would be a conflict of interest.
(using the NATO files JT now has access to) With trump being wing-men and Putin filling in the blanks it's set to be a busy first 4 years for 'the Kid'. I wonder if he will help Don if a coup happens before the election. With the Syrian refugees being a training exercise where the traitors in the US are running for cover Canada would be a good portal for escape, unless that is a now a trap and running gets them a front row seat at some trial at the ICC. Television at it's finest with one single soap-opera running on the first 24 channels 24/7. That is why it would be helpful to have it broadcast to every Igloo and Hut on the Globe as that should be a great time to air out the dirty laundry once and for all.

Syria regime, Russia making 'extensive' use of cluster munition: HRW

HRW "collected detailed information about attacks in nine locations that have killed at least 35 civilians, including five women and 17 children, and injured dozens", the report said.
The method for convoy destruction seems to be basically 1 tank. Put 4 or 5 on them together and the road is basically obliterated for what appears to be about 5 or 6 kms. Somebody here wants one and will rename it the Johnny 5000. He will probably need to fill out a few forms is my guess.
