Republican Calls For Mississippi To “Succeed” From The Union Before Deleting Tweet
I thought Texas was already successful.Mississippi can't, but Texas can
Yep yep yep Assholes whining about how Trump is taking losing after watching 4 years of of those same f*cking asshole retards refuse to accept they lost the election in 2016. In Obama's case he had no choice but to walk away since it was the end of his second term. But the Democrat party refused to accept the results of the election and spent the next 4 years blowing taxpayer money on a witch hunts with lots of fishing trips in between while using govt institutions as political weapons. Yep, that's definitely the epitome of democracy. Why should Trump concede?
Good morning Mr Marsh. Trump hasn’t conceded—does this matter? He looks like a sore loser. He IS a loser. Why is it so important that he publicly acknowledges this? Thanks!!!!!! ~Jen
Heya Jen, In terms of legally and officially how the late stage of this election plays out, it doesn't matter at all. On January 21, 2021 AEDT Joe Biden will be sworn in as America's next president whether Trump concedes, or even attends the inauguration, or not. There's no requirement for it to happen.
It's important because it matters to those grander ideals of a democratic system of government — of which the United States is supposed to be one of the best examples. In a democracy, when the people have spoken and you lose, you move out of the way. It's kinda the bedrock of how it's supposed to work. America literally had a revolution over it.
And it's something past US presidents have acknowledged on their way out. After losing the election and becoming a one-term president George H W Bush said he had been given the "Order of the Boot" by American voters, and that he could accept the defeat because of his "deep devotion to the political system under which this nation has thrived for two centuries."
When John McCain lost to Barack Obama in 2008 he said:
"I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our goodwill and earnest effort to find ways to come together."
When Richard Nixon lost to John F Kennedy in 1960 he said:
"One of the individual features of America is that we have political contests — that they are very hard-fought as this one is hard-fought. And once the decision is made, we unite behind the man who was elected."
Even going back to the 1890s the concession was an important step in the process of moving on beyond an election. Democrat William Jennings Bryan sent Republican William McKinley a telegram of congratulations which read:
"We have submitted the issue to the American people and their will is law."
Looks like people are getting fed up with the rioters . Antifa got a kicking last night in DC .Yep yep yep Assholes whining about how Trump is taking losing after watching 4 years of of those same f*cking asshole retards refuse to accept they lost the election in 2016. And now, after 4 years of calling half the country a bag of deplorables, nazis, racists and all sorts of other visceral insults these dumb f*cks expect those people to just let it go and accept the results of the election." And in that regard, Republican supporters have accepted the results. Notice the total lack of Republican supporters rioting against the results. To bad the idiots you support couldn't say the same for the last 4 years.
Of course they did , would you expect otherwise ?Everything us "Nazi, White Supremacist, Fascist, Islamophobic (made up word), Misogynistic, Xenophobe, Old stock, Threatening, Neanderthal, un-Canadians" (all projecting & gaslighting, by the way) said in 2015 has systematically come to fruition 1 by 1
Literally, Everything.
