Actually you might be wrong- Manitoba apparently has that distinction. What you have listed off happened over a period of 50 years and 2 people out of a population of four million account for over half of them. Anyway a few assholes don't necessarily make a bad place.

I never heard of any mass murderer on a highway south of Prince George. There were multiple murdered or missing women on Highway 16 between Prince Rupert and Prince George, but nothing has been proven. Pickton was convicted of 6 murders. Olson was convicted of 11 murders. If you are going to report stuff, at least get it accurate. Ontario is probably the mass murder capital of Canada. How many did the nurse snuff out? How many gays did the landscaper snuff out? How many youths got snuffed out near Thunder Bay?

Until the 1960s we had the gallows! That pretty well puts an end to the killing. As a matter of fact it pretty well cuts recidivism rate to zero. :) Has anyone seen Bundy, Wuornos or Gacy in the neighbourhood lately? Didn't think so!
