Saskatchewan (I think in the 1920/30) had the biggest active KKK chapter in Canada, the US-KKK had picked this province, not sure why, but they came down and it was successful for a while. I'm wondering if they still exist? Was there any groups dancing in the street of Saskatoon these past couple days? For years, some unsavoury groups had been pushed underground. Many attitudes of regular Joe's were shun, they were still there obviously, but it was socially unacceptable to express them, so most people moved on and lived in an acceptable manner. With a clearly racist President, visibility of the KKK will slowly increase (it's already started), and attitudes towards taboo subjects will start emerging as well. Fascism perhaps, on a low scale? Here are a few published facts of fascism: 1) "Constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, etc" 2) "Ignore some human rights cases because of the need" 3) "Belief that patriotism is in danger due to racial, ethnic or religion minorities" 4) Government is giving huge amount of funding to the military, even when the domestic is neglected" 5) "Rampant Sexism" 6) "Controlled of the media" 7) "Govern is done one by groups of friends."
