I severely doubt the international community is putting pressure on both. Especially seeing that the fundamentalist governments and others as such are still going about their daily business with nothing happening to them (ie: no sanctions, no expulsions from the UN, no limitaiotns on the trade deals, etc). Oh sure the UN likes to wag the finger when a political opposition group in China gets rounded up and severly punished, or when a homosexual gets life imprisonment in a Islamic court, or even when someone is beatened for making a critic of a royal family, but that's all it does, wag a finger. What does Israel get? Roasted over the coals. If that's what is called pressure on both sides, then id hate to see what a onesided pressure looks like.

Maybe Israel ought to eliminate that clause from their citizenship ceremony and institute a system of harsh secular-based penalties on those individuals that do not comply with the society at large..... You know, something akin to stoning-to-death someone that doesn't exemplify the tenets of the Talmud/Torah.

Don't kid yourself. There are Ortho stoning gangs and even a bus line that women don't dare ride. Give them 20 years and more seats in Tel Aviv and it will be State policy.

The international community would still call foul on Israel for instituting a draconiain system where all crimes, no matter their severity, are treated as capital where the punishment is always severe. Israel gets criticized for anything. Hell, Palastinians hit the streets in protests over a squad of Israeli soldiers dancing to Lady Gaga's Tik Tok while on patrol. No I'm not joking, this actually did happen.

If one wants to be a citizen of a country then he/she must meet whatever the requirements are in the citizenship laws. Even if that means reciting a pledge of allegaince to:

the glorious federated states of National Socialist freedomland, it's pure and honourable laws and tradtions. And to pledge myself to the great loving creator of it all, the immaculate glorious...Adolf Hitler! Der Fuhrer of my heart and soul. Zeig Heil!

Now if one can't recite the pledge of a country or doesn't agree with whatever requirements there are, then said person should go be citizen somewhere else. Remember, you want to be part of their nation, then you abid by their rules.

Hello Colpy, sorry for the very late reply but Ive been out of the country judging swimwear competitions. Of course the old news washing machine hasn't been able to clean the Zionist guilt completely out of the revolution yet. Bankers have no kinship or allegiance to anything but power. Bankers kill indiscriminately, among their victims are plenty of Jews.That has worked so well that I don,t see it changing any time soon.
