I am not sure where you found these stats, but since I have been here in Florida in December, there have been not less than 3 to 4 teens killed by firearms EVERY week. That is just in a fairly local region and doesn't even take in Miami, or Jacksonville area. Over and above this, are the gang slayings, drive by shootings and just stupid firing rifles in the air in celebration of whatever turns them on. In my opinion, your stats are so far off as to be ridiculous. When will you understand that there is NO central department, agency that keeps thorough stats anymore in the US. I have given you over the years, the facts on how this happened but hey, you know better, right!!! The Republicans put in by those who are gungho nitwits who are so paranoid as to believe decent gun controls means instant loss of freedom to shoot their neighbors if they come to complain about their dog pooping on their lawns.

AAWK, I am fed up with numbnuts on both sides of the border!!

Then cease to be one.

How exactly do you expect me to respond to your incoherence?

The above post is nonsense.

I asked you a simple question.

In fact, I asked you two simple questions......neither of which you have the intellectual capacity to ask, since no one has yet told you your position, and provided you with handy dandy pieces to cut and paste.

No, I am not a fan of doctor-assisted suicide.

And you?

I care about the well being of others, so it goes without saying I would allow them to have the option to end their pain and suffering.

Of course, it's not surprising that people who lack the empathy gene wouldn't feel the same way lol

no - you asked this question several times without ever providing any relevance to this topic/thread. If you want me to respond to that question, as I state, you'll need to provide that relevance... the point of reference that I can contemplate and speak to. You can do that or you can continue to blather on incoherently... your choice! Colpy, what are you so shy/afraid of here? In relation to this topic/thread just what is it you want to discuss with that question?

Good Lord, do you always need to be spoon fed?

Obviously, if you believe in the right to die, but would argue against widespread use of firearms in society because of the number of "firearms deaths"., the majority of which are suicides, then you are suffering from some cognitive dissonance.

I care about the well being of others, so it goes without saying I would allow them to have the option to end their pain and suffering.

Please see above.

If you choose to kill yourself, for whatever reason, well, I guess that is your business.

I do not trust the state to do the killing for you.

spoon fed??? Asking you to provide a thread related reference for your question is that? But hey now, weren't you just the guy in the other thread whining/wailing that I've hijacked this thread? So... when you want to discuss a different angle/slant, that's not YOU jackin' the thread, hey? Geezaz, grow a pair, hey!

but hey, I certainly don't hold any conflicting views on this point. I do acknowledge your position that gun manufacturers/lobbyists are simply providing a public service to facilitate the availability of "right to die" implements! Oh my! As I said to you earlier, Colpy...apparently, to you... suicide by gun is a... right! Live Free Or Die... err... Kill Yourself By Gun Or Die!!!

This post is exactly what I mean by hijacking......I asked a simple question, you carry on for post after post with irrelevat horseshyte, ranting and rambling for no particular purpose............before you finally get around to answering. If you get around to answering.

Now, the other question: What would you consider to be a reasonable gun control regimen? I've been asking that for several posts as well, but you just want to troll, and BS, and destroy any chance of a rational conversation....so you refuse to answer.

Oh, and it would require you to think for yourself.........something I am increasingly convinced is totally outside your experience and ability.

you brought it up... and I jacked the thread? Your 'simple question' was without relation/reference to this thread; i.e., you "jacked without qualification". I simply asked for your reference to this thread... of course, you were most guarded in what you even said... but hey, baby steps from you! But hey, I note you haven't responded to my reply... you've simply chosen your alternate insult/deflect routine. But I get it; I appreciate your embarrassment over my mocking your "Right to Die by Gun" idiocy... over your shilling for gun manufacturers public service in facilitating the availability of guns for suicide! Live Free Or Die... err... Kill Yourself By Gun Or Die!!!

Sigh

Imbecile.

If the majority of gun deaths are suicides, and you are expressing all your stats as "gun deaths" then the question really was relevant.

Colpy, you can talk to me about the right to die.

I've inherited that file.

No disrespect intended, but I'm too busy trying to beat some sense into Waldo the Drooling Moron.

of course, the trolls have shown up, big time... with little to nothing to say about the topic at hand! And... apparently, he who is fresh off suspension has just picked right up again where he left off! Rather than deal with such an unBearable type, I'll take moderator Locutus' advice and put the miscreant on ignore as well!
Ummm, I wasn't suspended, I have a life, unlike you.

And who might that be?
Well D'uh, lol.

I haven't seen much trolling from anyone, really...
Have you read waldo's insult littered posts?

There is nothing more telling than to read a blowhard poser continually pumping his own tires, continually needing to claim superiority... to claim victory, continually needing to attempt to marginalize others in the face of his own failed position/statements/"arguments". Well done Colpy, well done, indeed!
Talking about yourself again?

 Cold Dead Hands: catchy tune from Lonesome Earl and the Clutterbusters... "a big, big man with a little bitty gland"
Undoubtedly written about you, lol.

Sigh

Imbecile.
Why do you waste your time on him?

I don't recall any such instances where I've used gun deaths (without qualification)... I recall a lot of discussion concerning gun-related murder rates and gun-related violence rates. I also recall several of your purposeful sleight of hand attempts to use unqualified murder rates/data to attempt to speak to gun murder rates.... somehow in your ColpyBizzaroWorld, that's completely justified - to you! And, of course, I absolutely recall you dismissing gun-related murders if it can't be shown the murder wouldn't have happened with another device/implement! Talk about morons, as in YOU!

here's the thing buddy, I could give a rats-patooey if you feel justified in excluding gun-related suicides from gun-related deaths... they are still a gun-related death incident... no matter how hard you whine/wail/bluster. Gun suicides are gun-related deaths - go figure, hey! Now your idiocy thought to leverage "Right to Die" to support the prevalence/availability of guns in gun-related suicide incidents! The mocking you received was most apropos! Please continue in that regard... you're always a laugh a minute!

further to the myth of "the Good Guy with a Gun":

the organization "Gun Violence Archive":
The Gun Violence Archive is an online archive of gun violence incidents collected from over 1,200 media, government and commercial sources daily in an effort to provide near-real time data about the results of gun violence.

Mission Statement
Gun Violence Archive (GVA) is a not for profit corporation formed in 2013 to provide free online public access to accurate information about gun-related violence in the United States. GVA will collect and check for accuracy, comprehensive information about gun-related violence in the U.S. and then post and disseminate it online, primarily if not exclusively on this website and summary ledgers at www.facebook.com/gunviolencearchive. It is hoped that this information will inform and assist those engaged in discussions and activities concerning gun violence, including analysis of proposed regulations or legislation relating to gun safety usage.

GVA is not, by design an advocacy group. The mission of GVA is to document incidents of gun violence and gun crime to provide raw, verified data to those who need to use it in their research, advocacy or writing.
based upon actual filed police reports, the Gun Violence Archive organization reports that for all of 2014, there were fewer than 1,600 verified defensive guns uses in the U.S..

as verified to today's date, Feb 15, the following is an active tally of related Gun Violence in the U.S. ... representing the first 46 days of 2015:
