Northern Ontario,
What about the other 11%? Should we have a vote on whom you can welcome to your home?
Maybe I should Have quoted the part of your statement I was responding to...
Last I checked, much of Canada is private property so the government if Canada does not own it.

I didn't think it was necessary since you had just written it.....but nice deflection anyways

You're still effectively saying that if Ontarians don't want Albertans in Ontario and an Ontarian invites a friend over to his home or to work for him, Ontarians should be allowed to say no and sanction that freedom over his private property.

Another question. Should Ontarians be allowed to refuse Alberta Muslims entry?

Now you pretend to know what I'm saying

Please show where I said that....

I see no moral difference between inter-provincial or international migration other than arbitrary decisions resulting from either historical accidents or colonialism.

My house does not have a doorway that is on an international border. A foreigner must cross into canada before they cross the threshold into my house. Not that it matters much because my house is subjected to federal law, provincial law, and municipal laws so I am pretty sure that hiring a foreigner to work on my kitchen cabinets is illegal many times over.

I see no moral difference between inter-provincial or international migration other than arbitrary decisions resulting from either historical accidents or colonialism.
The difference lies in citizenship rights and responsibilities. You don't have the right to move from Canada to Russia on a whim. But ŕussia doesn't have the right to draft you into their military. There are two nations in the issue..the differences in jurisdiction, rights, and commitments are very real.you - aND your right to move freely - is not a big picture item.

Of course the second link makes a distinction between Christian and enlightenment, but still argues they agree on the point of open borders. The interesting argument I found was that it would probably spread the Christian Faith. I'm not sure about that, but it would most certainly promote freedom of religion at the very least.

One would think a Christian would support that.

No believer is interested in freedom of religion except his/her own.

Just ask Germans how the open boarders are working for them.

Moral case for open borders | Open Borders: The Case

I found this article to be interesting. It looks at it from Libertarian, Utilitarian and other standpoints.

A Christian case is presented here:

Open Borders, Christianity, and the Enlightenment | Open Borders: The Case

I don't agree with all of the arguments here though, at least not in the details, but I agree with its direction none-the-less.

What? Open our borders to a dangerous and sinister place like the United States? If we don't have higher standards than that, we sure as hell should.
