I said Happy Capitalism just as a cynical expression. It was just to point out where there are deficiencies.

I think we can all agree that changes need to be made when profits lead to unnecessary deaths.

Yes well it fits quite nicely into the utilitarian dogma if you want a bit more focus on that lens.

After giving the matter serious thought I must say capitalism has been good to me. better than any alternatives I can think of. All the others would require kissing someones a$$ to stay alive nrvermind getting ahead.

Well, there is something to be said about lining up for your weekly vodka and potato rations.

Both are highly utilitarian and valued consumables

Actually, early utilitarians favoured a completely unregulated economy in the hopes that it would lead to the greatest good for the most people.
