About 15 years ago, I was in a conversation with a retired engineer that was driving for the trucking company I’m with. Back in the early 60s he was involved in exploration south of Moose Jaw, and they were finding oil there, but there was bigger better cheaper, easier elsewhere with 1960s technology…& I don’t think anything has been done about it since.

Pete would be the one to add to this.

I’m sure tourists generally avoid the poorer sections of Los Angeles, or other parts of America too, but that doesn’t justify anything…

Anyway…the five largest oil reserve countries in the world are Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Canada, and Iraq. Together, these nations hold a significant majority of the world's proven oil reserves.
  • Venezuela (approx. 303 billion bbl): Holds the world's largest proven reserves, mostly extra-heavy crude in the Orinoco Belt, invaded by America this year.
  • Saudi Arabia (approx. 267 billion bbl):possesses massive conventional light oil reserves and leads in exports with lower production costs, currently still allies even after 16/21 from 9/11 where from Saudi Arabia.
  • Iran (approx. 209 billion bbl): Significant reserves located in the Middle East, though its ability to monetize is hindered by international sanctions…currently being attacked by America.
  • Canada (approx. 163–171 billion bbl):Reserves are primarily in Alberta's oil sands (bitumen), requiring advanced extraction technology…51st the first state, etc…
  • Iraq (approx. 145 billion bbl): Holds substantial, under-developed, and low-cost reserves in the Middle East, that America hasn’t invaded since 2003.
  • The U.S. is the top oil producer, but ranks lower in total proven reserves compared to these five.
Totally different & you know it.
