Most alleged atheists (the noisy ones anyhow) are religious folk who feel betrayed by Gawd and are throwing a tantrum, like a jilted girl raving about what a jerk her ex-boyfriend is.
Real atheists simply see no evidence of this alleged higher being, and are amused by the intellectual tangle of string that qualifies as theology.

Both groups you have identified are (obviously) free to believe what they wish (and practice it accordingly), I really don't have any issues with that in any way.
What becomes annoying is the Jehovah Witness style sermonizing and conversion activities.

I am more of the belief that the Universe created itself and we are just a hallucination of the Universal being. At the same time, what we experience as reality is a holographic projection of our own minds. That is one of the reasons I cannot take anybody on CC seriously. I realize that they are just my mind playing with itself, kinda like a Monty Python skit. Highly entertaining and amusing. Those that take themselves seriously are just reflections of parts of my own personality that haven't been fully retracted from the Matrix. They make me laugh a lot because they don't realize they are only figments of my fertile imagination.
