Yes, all the moaning and bitching by the anti-science brigade about urban heat islands, and site changes, etc. is well known. Bad stations are excluded, and since temperature is highly auto-correlated geographically, they can ignore the bad stations.

I should note they trust the surface record just fine when they mention record breaking cold snaps that some areas of the globe have experienced this year.

Buffoons.
That, too. lol

The most convincing proof that the Earth is getting warmer that it is getting colder.

Just ask Al Gore or the twerp Suzuki.

AnnaG, you failed to quote me in full, either by accident or design.

Don't "huh" me! like I said ask Al Gore or the twerp, Suzuki.

Perhaps in my poor, uneducated, immigrant, second-language-English way I meant - but failed to clarify - that that statement is a direct quote from Al Gore.

Look it up, if you dare!

It was intentional. I understood the second line but the meaning of the first line is a mystery.

It helps, if you are quoting someone, to put quotation marks at either end.

I googled. What you "quoted" seems to be the title of a couple editorials and they are not credited to either Gore or Suzuki.

I don't care what Gore said, I don't follow the man's work. If he said that then he's bat sh|t wombat crazy. That's an if though. I don't know you well enough to take your words at face value, and frankly I don't care enough to check.

AnnaG, I apologize! What I posted was attributed to Al Gore, perhaps not literally, word for word, but in spirit and by meaning.

And, of course, echoed by his faithful acolyte, the twerp, David Suzuki.

Because you fully well that quoting Al Gore would only bring you nothing but embarrasment.

Oh. No worries. Gore is hardly an expert on climate, and Suzuki is a biologist and the people that wrote the editorials are journalists, not climatologists. Either way, the bit about cooling is wrong anyway. The high temperatures recorded from the southern hemisphere are outdistancing the cooler temperatures from the northern hemisphere.

Um, this is 2010, not 2005 and do you really think after the email mess, anyone would seriously try the same stunt over again? Have another toke, Beav.
The news was released today, not in 2005. Put down the bong, Ann.

It's Anna, Waler. I don't smoke. The data was from 2005 not 2010. The article is dated 2010. IOW, the article is babbling about 5 year old history. But I am not surprised you are confused about that. Numbers seem to baffle you.

No, because I'm not intellectually lazy, and I can read a scientific paper. Why would I go to a second hand accounting of something I'm fully capable of understanding myself?

The only people who seem to care about what Gore says, are people like you. Contrarians.
