So here is an interesting question. If you buy your toy online where do you take it for repairs? Do you put it back in the Amazon box and hope porch pirates take it away?
That IS ACTUALLY a VERY GOOD QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Suppose there is a problem with battery or with computerized charging system while under warranty????????????????????????
Suppose you CRASH your electric Toy car.........we all know that snow and ice are hard on cars..................so what happens if you BEND your Tesla and need auto body repairs?????????????????????
It sounds like LARGE EXTRA COST to have parts shipped in from Tesla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And lets face it- most cars that get bent on a snowy day end up with USED PARTS salvaged from a wrecking yard at moderate price- compared to BRAND NEW PARTS PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your insurance company WILL NOT PAY for new parts...................and their are no Teslas currently in LOCAL wrecking yards!!!!!!!!!!
And here is a thought related to fire insurance..................a Lithium battery will IGNITE when its contents come in contact with oxygen.........so what happens and WHO PAYS..............if your bent Tesla is dragged into an auto body shop late in the day and then the battery IGNITES - because the battery has been jolted and has a tiny hairline crack that eventually allows IGNITION after workers go home ??????????????????
I believe Tesla car has a motherboard for monitoring power consumption and available range and for the cruise control that the cheaper versions come with.........................................
Though the cheaper versions WILL NOT have the self driving features and lane departure software that comes with higher end models!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And as we ALL KNOW...................motherboards and other hardware and software sometimes FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There have been consumer reports regarding faulty software on Dodge trucks........with local dealers having some trouble sorting out the issues...............so how much more difficult to deal with a Tesla with NO local dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You certainly WILL NOT be able to to take the electric Toy car to your local mechanic- he DOES NOT have the technical ,manuals or training for a Tesla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Though I would suppose that Tesla electric Toys accept standard over the counter brake pads and tires and brake lines so the small pesky repairs can be made at least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And as we know................transmissions sometimes need work as well.................and that cannot be done by your basic local garden variety mechanic either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Electric Toy cars are simply NOT READY for mass use!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact that the cost of an electric TOY NEEDS MASSIVE govt subsidies to get the cars sold and to get costly and often UNRELIABLE fast chargers installed is PROOF of the limitations and inadequacies of the TOY machines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
