So since my last post I went and bought a few 1 oz bars of silver.
I went with silver because at 38 bucks an ounce it's affordable. Ironically, they have since gone up to 40 bucks an oz so I made a few bucks I guess.
I could not afford around 2800 bucks for an oz of gold.
I have started looking at precious metals in coins though.

I'm not sure I want to buy scrap but probably start collecting coins instead.
I do enjoy the look of a 1 oz bar and they are fairly cheap to collect from different mints.
If your not in to earn but just want something pretty, go for it. Scrap is where the money is though.

I couldn't find silver bars on the Canada post site but if I get into coins then I will start buying from there too. Thanks for the tip.
Also, the RCMint doesn't seem to have 1 oz bars a lot either.
So I have started to get the 1 oz bars from my bank. I order them and they get shipped to the bank for free where I pick them up.
I have a few pennies I'd like to sell.
Working as a cashier, I collected them over a couple of years..

I have about 300 OZ saved. Trying to get to 1000 OZ total.
Picked up a tube of these a couple of months ago for the same price as maples. Nice addition to the stack!
