U.S. Senator Ted Cruz improperly accounted for loans he received from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Citigroup Inc. during his 2012 campaign, saying the funds were his own personal contributions to the Senate race, the Federal Election Commission said Thursday.

The finding, released on the FEC website, marked a rare instance of agreement among the agency’s five commissioners, who voted unanimously that the $1.1 million of loans from the banks should have been disclosed to voters.

Whatabout all the senators that properly account for their financial activities? Never talk about them, do you?

Sen. Ted Cruz ‘likes’ Twitter porn as staff scramble to remove it
POSTMEDIA NETWORK
First posted: Tuesday, September 12, 2017 12:44 PM EDT | Updated: Tuesday, September 12, 2017 12:52 PM EDT
Late Monday, the former Republican presidential candidate’s Twitter account ‘liked’ an X-rated porn video posted by @SexuallPosts that featured a blond woman stumbling upon a couple having sex on a couch before getting intrigued in her own right.
It’s unclear if the socially conservative politician, who once supported a ban on sex toys, clicked Twitter’s little heart button himself (or perhaps by a slip of the finger) or if the nod to nasty was the work of a staffer or hacker.
Either way, Cruz’s spokesperson Catherine Frazier took to Twitter herself to respond to the x-rated account.
“The offensive tweet posted on @tedcruz account earlier has been removed by staff and reported to Twitter,” wrote Frazier, although no explanation for how it ended up there was given.
The @SexuallPosts Twitter account’s bio was changed to read, “Follow for the Same Porn @TedCruz Watches." The social media porn dispensary added in a reply to the original video: “Thanks for watching ted!”
And, in typical Twitter fashion, Cruz isn’t getting off the hook for the snafu.
Users were quick to point out that his staff can remove the ‘like’ all they want but a whole lot of people were quick with the screenshots.
And then — of course — came the memes.
In this screenshot, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz's official Twitter account is seen as 'liking' an x-rated video on September 11, 2017 before it was removed by staff. (Twitter/Screenshot)

Eyes roll as Ted Cruz denies role in 2013 government shutdown; 'Speechless' says one senator

To hear Sen. Ted Cruz tell it, he deserves no blame for the 2013 government shutdown that cost the U.S. economy $24 billion.

"I have consistently opposed shutdowns," he insisted Monday in a testy exchange with journalists, hours before Congress voted to end a far less damaging three-day shutdown.

The assertion doesn't match the historical record.

"You've left me speechless," Maine Sen. Susan Collins, a moderate Republican who seethed at Cruz throughout the 2013 episode, told reporters when asked about her Texas colleague's stance.

But while Cruz's stance caused dismay and allegations of revisionism, he has always maintained that Democrats bore responsibility for the 16-day shutdown -- along with GOP congressional leaders who lacked the backbone to back him up in the crusade to defund Obamacare.

The episode remains a key moment in Cruz's five-year Senate career, elevating his status among tea partiers and propelling his 2016 presidential bid. He alluded to it often during the primaries, reminding voters that none of his White House rivals had fought as hard in Washington for their agenda.

If only it would leave Collins speechless. She's just another RINO.

Cruz votes against Sandy aid for the east coast and for Harvey aid for his own peeps in Texas.

A bigger douche bag than Trump.
