Tax cuts? What to do with the extra funds?

I am opposed to that 1% GST cut because it could have been spent better for the FUTURE.
Think about this for a second if you cut taxes that means there is more money in your pocket (assuming its a personal tax like income tax) which each individual can be used for their own use. For example they could save that money for the future or buy something for themselves. But contrary to that I would like to see more money spent on infrastructure, health care and education. There are some very creative ways to improve the education system that cost little or no more money then the way things are done now. One would be allowing more charter schools to operate Nation wide. For people who do not know what a charter school is it can virtually be classified as publicly funded private school. Even though this definition may seem contradictory it is very effective. In Alberta were there are currently 15 charter schools, students tend to do better than their public school counterparts. Charter Schools are just some "competition" against regular public schools. This helps create better quality for both the public school and the charter school. A solution to our health care problem (mainly the wait times) could be found by streamlining the foreign doctors’ licenses and stopping the OMA's monopoly on health care in Ontario. Infrastructure must be just attacked with better planning and more focused improvements. The government could do a lot more with what it spends now if it were more willing to give up some power, specifically its power over our money. I’m still waiting for the war tax to end (AKA the Income Tax).

Hey, here's an idea, how about the tories keep a promise and use some of the extra cash to reduce wait times in hospitals like they said they would.
The next time more money reduces wait times will be the first time.
